I think my father's great grandfather or such came from Bavaria. There was a prayer book I came across that was printed in Austria but I am under the impression most of my father's side was German and Bavaria would have been on the Austrian border I think.
My mother's side was Scotch-Irish and German...Limerick and Stuttgart. I don't have a desire to see Ireland but would like to see Scotland and Bavaria. I don't speak German but my grandmother used to teach me words like heis for hot and such. All my relatives were over here before the world wars.
Imagine having this gorgeous view every day. Wow. The winters here are probablu brutal though.

Hopefully we'll all get thru this pandemic in good health. Then maybe....
