Whenever we're in the NC mountains we love going to waterfalls.

I walked 4 miles in NC to see a waterfall, sprained both ankles & had to walk back on them

Me too nlbuchanan. What is really pretty is when waterfalls freeze as they are coming off rock cliffs.

WATERFALLS

dazzling whites
they cascade on green heights
spectacular curtains that inspire
as I go down with flow of life's musical lyre
I'll sing the lullabies of dreams which never tire
refreshing the plaintive minds and souls
listen to summer calls
