Yum! Raspberries are my favourite. I just recently learned to make "overnight oats" in the fridge. So cooling in our hot summer temperatures. I always add some Greek style yogurt for a bit of extra protein and some fresh fruit and almonds.

I just use instant oatmeal and add fruit on top--now it's blueberries or strawberries.

I have also learned to make overnight oats and enjoy them very much. I must admit, however, I warm them just a bit in the microwave before eating them.

I'll probably do that in the winter, NL. Just now though with temps in the hundreds F, cold muesli goes down nicely in the morning.

I'm sure they do, orinoco. I'm just not much on any cold foods, I zap stuff a few seconds to take the chill off. Exception, Ice Cream! I do zap it a few seconds to make it softer and easier to serve but I do like it cold!

Such a healthy looking breakfast except I would substitute Oats for the Muesli.

All the money in the world can't buy you back good health. Reba McEntire

I think that age as a number is not nearly as important as health. You can be in poor health and be pretty miserable at 40 or 50. If you're in good health, you can enjoy things into your 80s. Bob Barker

Good night and God bless all of you. Hugs.

These are great reminders of what is really important in life. Thanks for the reminder, aussie, and have a blessed day.

Once again, very timely quotes. Last week my cousins put a picture on Facebook of my Aunt's 95th birthday. That's the "healthy" side of my family, so of course all my cousins looked fabulous! My Aunt and Uncle were seated in the front of the picture, and didn't look so well. (They ARE 95 after all! ) My Aunt has Alzheimer's (as did her brother, my Dad) so she was completely oblivious of everything going on. My Uncle looked horrible, with a very mean frown on his face. Last night I got a text that my cousin Larry (my aunt and uncle's son) had passed away. I believe he was 69 years old, and he was the main caregiver for his parents. In talking with my sister this morning, I was SHOCKED when she told me that in that picture, the horrible looking man was NOT my uncle, but my COUSIN LARRY!! I guess he had been feeling bad for months and refused to go to a doctor! It's true...age has nothing to do with the end of life. Health is everything! I'm sorely lacking in that category so I guess I'm doomed! But I plan on enjoying life as much as possible. God gave me this life and I would seem ungrateful with anything less. Hugs to all. (And hug your cousins! )

I'm with you, aussie, I would switch to oats also. Otherwise, this would be a delicious breakfast.

Truthful quotes. I was so sick from anorexia in my 30s that I saved enough for a new car just not spending on anything but the necessary bills. Health is really what matters most. Without it, life is unbearable.

I second aussie's statement, retirenow14. Glad you overcame the anorexia. I know it had to have been a long, hard battle.

Breakfast for me consists of nothing but coffee. It does look appetizing though.

Mamag coffee is my choice for breakfast, always has been, never eat. I asked the doctor about it once and he said it was more unhealthy to eat when you are not hungry than to skip breakfast. You are right it does look good. Take care and be safe.

Great breakfast. I like to heat the milk up before I pour it on my muesli. Did you say you were pouring coffee?
