I love the contrast of the blue bowl with those green beans. We, got flowers on our beans and peas! Yeah! Pasta salad with peas! Yum!

We're in a small town -- Banning, CA -- between San Bernardino and Palm Springs on I-10, right at the top of the San Gorgonio Pass. If you go to the Oregon Coast (and it's still there), my parents owned a nice bit of property between Gold Beach and Port Orford called Arizona Beach -- it was once a stage stop on a line that went to Arizona is what I heard. Lovely little cove and shoreline for camping (when we lived there). Had a small six unit motel and spots for travel trailers, too. Enjoy your trip! Lovely scenery on the coast.

Thanks for the info! I love it out here but sooo miss my family in New York. I also miss the warm ocean on the east coast. The first time I got in the Pacific, and in a wet suit it was no fun being that cold. In the summer the Atlantic is like bath water. More fun to play in the surf :)

I once dated a fella who, with his friend driving the ski boat, water skied a couple of miles on the Columbia River on New Year's Day! Pretty sure he wore a wet suit, but it was sooooo cold. Ah! to be young again! Those were the days!!!
