You can leave the olives out. Just got thru with my oatmeal with strawberries. Not sure what is for lunch yet. Might do some cooking today--I make my meals up and freeze them. Not cooking every day for one person. Have a great day!

You, too, elijah13. I know when I was single I had soup for dinner in the winter and maybe a sandwich in the summer. The only time I cooked is when my daughter came to dinner.

Understand the cooking for one. Whipped up a batch of potatoe salad and think I'll BBQ ribs outside today.

I bought 2 big packages of BBQ ribs yesterday at Publix--Buy1, get 1 free. Will last me for quite a few meals. Had some last night--delicious. Froze the rest of that package. One more package to divide and freeze.

I am still trying to figure meals for just me. I will go shopping and see something I might like but when I get home, I have no interest in it. Is this normal? There are times when I have to make myself eat.

I remember when my step-dad died, we had to really remind mom that she had to eat. I would say that is pretty normal, mamag15. Just to let you know, you are in my prayers and I sincerely hope, things are getting better for you bit by bit.

You sound like me. I make up meals and freeze them and just have to pop them in the microwave for a minute or so and have a salad with it. I include veggies and sometimes mashed potatoes with it before I freeze it. Take out of freezer mid-day and it is thawed by the time I need to put it in the microwave. Hope this helps.

Mamag, that's all a part of the grieving process. Loss of appetite, especially when you have to cook yourself something to eat, is very common. You might try one of the smaller frozen, prepared meals and see if that helps any.

I hear that. Get a crave and then it passes when you get home. Just make sure and get plenty of water and some protein.

I don't know if its" normal" mamag, but it describes me perfectly. Have a nice day!

Me, too, mamag15. I don't like sitting at a table by myself. I put my dinner on a tray and take it to the den and watch something (more often than not, the news). -I always have a "cooked -in- the- store" chicken on hand and that is the basis for several meals (including a meal size salad which I enjoy. (Baby spinach, tomato, celery, carrots chicken and cheese.)

I work in the deli at a quick mart. I am not going to be working in a school this year.

It may seem a simple, unglamorous job compared to teaching (my husband and many in his family were teachers and I tried it too) but I am grateful for folks like you who are out there risking your lives to see we are able to get the food we need. Thank you and be safe.

That's quite an assortment --- I would enjoy the tomatoes, eggs and cheese.
