I absolutely refuse to use store-bought carrots, even if they're marked as organic. I buy mine from a farm family, certified organic and their carrots are marvelous - crisp, flavorful - and last forever with proper storage - a large ziploc bag, a paper towel and the carrots, all stored in your crisper. I last bought in November and those carrots are still good.
