Imagine being able to look at these. Saw some in California. Never see them in Florida--at least not where I live.

That was just a discriptive word not an active word, if I could run I would be the happiest person I know.I'm sorry to say that the ulcer is again infected and more painful than it has been for months, even the morphine patch does not help more than take the worst of it away. God bless you

Did the doctor ever try sulpher powder? I don't know where that idea came from.

Sulphur. I knew htat looked wrong but forgot the spelling. It just came to me. Didn't they use that on open sores in WWII?

Pixi, they used sulfur in WWII because penicillin hadn't come into being yet. It did aid in healing, but it was hard on many peoples' bodies. My dearly beloved is allergic to penicillin, so he has to have sulfur derivatives when he takes antibiotics.

Maybe the germs causing Barbaranne such pain are resistant to antibiotics and the sulphur might kill them.

Dear Barbaranne, yes I knew it was just a descriptive word, just teasing you a little, but done in love. I do hope they find out soon a permanent cure. I am a big believer in natural remedies - have you googled your problem to see if there is something else you can do. As an example, there is a naturopath on TV here called Sandi Rogers, and she has some amazing ways of curing things based on fact. For instance, the last time she was on she talked about the outer leaves of cabbage and what great healing properties they have. Put them in the freezer and wrap them around any swelling, leave it on for a few hours covered in glad wrap and it takes the swelling down. So perhaps there is something for ulcers on the net as well. Hugs.

Aussie what is "glad wrap? "

I feel so priveledged to have you all helping me.

God Bless you and keep you ever in His Love.

Hi Barbaranne, I think it is called Saranwrap in other parts of the world, it is a clear plastic wrap used to cover dishes of food or wrap the food up. Could also been known as clingwrap, as it clings to itself and makes an air tight wrap. Hugs.

Clingfilm in the UK. Glad wrap and saranwrap are much nicer, thank you for answering my query.

Have you tried drying it out with a heat lamp? Maybe a really dry, open air environment would work. You tried all the wet stuff, right? They used to treat burns with wet compresses then discovered drying them was better.

Yes, but it just increases the pain and the hospital do not want to do that.....the reason is that the source of the pain as not yet been found. It would for me the best thing that could happen if some way could be found so that we could meet up and chat, that way we might just come up with answers to lots of small problems. "Beam us up Scotty". lots of love and laughs.

Barbaranne your problem is like a Chinese puzzle.
I often tell my husband to beam me up when we have been watching TV and it's time for bed but I have dozed in front of the set. Our tv is in our chilly basement, but my bedroom and his are on the main floor (the only floor) of our "ranch."
Love and laughs to you, too.
