I love most cheese, although I have not tried linburger. My dad did. He tried most new foods. He liked traveling as I do. Enjoy your cheese.

Limburger cheese I hate. Also Literkrantz (sp) cheese is bad too. My sister loves both!

Agreed tshepherd24, Just love cheese. What is your favorite cheese? Mine is Swiss and aged extra sharp cheddar. Astiago (sp? ) is really good in soups....and also a nice fresh dip made from blue cheese. Oh and feta cheese on a salad. Did I mention, I Love Cheese! :)))

That's good that you love cheese. I love cheese too. My favorite cheese would be Colby jack, pepper jack, sharp cheddar and other cheese as well. My wife Jrea73 calls me her mouse. :-)

Enjoy most cheese, don't like linberger. Love gouda and edam with ritz crackers, and swiss on my grilled ham sandwiches. Used to eat it often, now just have them occasionally. Can eat blue in a dressing on a salad, or mixed in a cheese ball.

Love a good blue cheese dressing or a blue cheese dip with crispy veggies. :) Never had linberger? Don't know what that is. But do enjoy Smoked Gouda! :)""""

Don't like Linberger nor blue cheeses. Herbal soft cheeses, I give a miss. Otherwise, love them all. Extra old white cheddar is yummy. Love grilled cheese sandwiches. Ugh, still on a liquid diet! Can you tell? :)

Hi Taffi, Yes, I did that diet in Aug. Difficult to take. Now, a good grilled cheese, have not had in a long time. I'm off of all breads since the cleanse and I have not wanted to go back. Just eat veggies and protein. Feel so much better. Made the mistake of having pizza(veggie) one day, felt terrible the next. So I went back to all veggies for a couple of days, felt so much better. It must be a yeast thing that makes me feel terrible. Just staying away from all yeast products. Have a great day. :)

Mine's due to a return from surgery where I had an overnight in hospital. Next day, I walked and walked, which got me to the point where I could get a release. They were threatening me with 3 days! Anyway, one more day of liquids to give my bowel a rest and repair...and then I can eat. Yeah, it sounds like breads are a big no no for you. Take care. Hugs!

Hi Taffi, Hope you are feeling better. Keep with your restricted diet until you feel better. Don't want to stress out your bowels, that will hurt all over again. Yesterday I was so busy, didn't even have time to puzzle. Have a great day, and take care of yourself. :)

My least liked is swiss. Too hard and bitter. Tho' I must admit there are so many cheeses I probably never tasted most of them. I like Muenster, pepper Jack (tho I can't have htat any more) and sharp cheddar.

Barbaranne--didn't you have that procedure where they take your blood pressure at various parts of the body simultaneously? What did you learn?

Hi Barbaranne! How is your leg doing?

Thank you all for asking about my leg. Saw the Prof on Monday and he is talking about a skin graft again. The ulcer never seems to shrink but like topsy it grows, personally I don't mind what they do if they can cure it. The pain is awful so I am going to the pain clinic on the 23rd Oct see if they have answer for me.
pixipixil I had the doppler and it showed that the pressure in all 4 limbs was different and that I am a suitable candidate for pressure bandages.
Yours prayers are very very welcome I think it is those that are keeping me sane and able to continue my life as full as possible in the Convent.
Hope to go for a few days break next week after I have seen the prof again on Monday.
God bless you all as He has blessed me with puzzling C4J friends, I thank Him daily for you when I do the puzzle

Hi Barbaranne, So sorry to hear that you are still having so much pain with your leg. I hope the pain clinic helps you. I will keep you in my prayers too. You keep referring to the Convent. Are you a nun? If so, what order? I was taught by Sisters of Charity. Anxious to hear from you.

I prayed to St. Anthony for the doctors to find what they need to cure you, Barbaranne.

Good morning. Anybody see the lunar eclipse? It was raining this morning but cleared too late to see it I think. I ducked out ot look at 7 when the clouds were finally gone but no moon. Too late.
Why did they say the moon is made of green cheese? I don't ever remember the moon looking green. These cheeses look like more likely cndidates.
Wishing you a day of tasty food.

I got up at 6:30 to look at the moon but didn't see it. We have a lot of trees to the west of our house and it might have been behind a tree at the time. I went back to bed and didn't get up until daylight. I was a bit disappointed.
Breaded pork chops are on my menu today. So yes I will have a day of tasty food. I wish you a good day too.

Saw it here in Alaska - very bright and definitely a red cast to it. Was full dark at 3:00 a.m. with a white corona appearing at the very top.

It was at 4:30 am here, so unfortunately I slept right through it. I hear it was a beautiful night to see it. I would rather have been in Alaska with aknan...Denver's bright lights at night really dull the night viewing. Oh well, I'll enjoy pictures taken by others! God Bless!

I know what you mean. After living rural for a decade it really bugs me having the street lights. They sure kill appreciation of a starry sky.
tomandray
Oct 9, 2014
Yes, that is true, Pixipixil. I used to live in Orlando, too many lights. The beauty of the night sky and stars are lost. But I now live in the country, plenty of stars. But I did miss the viewing of the moon, just too many trees. Must have been behind all our Southern Oaks. :(

Yes. We have trees (for which I'll not complain because I love trees), and a hill just where the moon might have been. I think we'd have had to be on top of a hill to see the moon if there had been no clouds. That would require a pilot's license to see above.
