More states are banning plastic straws due to environmental issues. So much plastic is ending up in our oceans. So sad. :>(

I started this mystery puzzle about 11 am
got sleepy took a nap forgot to stop timer
4 hours later I finished it

Oh I thought Blade Runner was an old movie. Love the old ones. Our anniversary is coming up and after that there's a date I'm not looking forward to. I'll probably be crying.

Bladerunner is an old movie--I neglected to add 2049. It's a sequel to it.
I'm sorry for your sorrow, Carol. My son's 3rd year since he died comes up next week.

I'm sorry for your loss as well. 3 days after our wedding my father died. I had him over every Sunday. I always cooked him a homemade meal - even the dessert. I recall one day when I went to pick him up - he was staying at my sisters. She asked what we were having. I said homemade red onion meat loaf and a chocolate pie. She replied Why didn't you buy a frozen lasagna and get a frozen pie. My niece requested a taste and she and her friend ended up eating 1/2 of it.

Actually I do enjoy doing it. One social media site two women requested 5 recipes. I mentioned about two different pies I made. They instant messaged me and asked if I'd share. I did share - tonight I mentioned about our spoiled dog Tippy. I said I took 2 dogs into the ER vet within 6 months a lady was smiling and laughing. I said yeah one died and then became very teary eyed. Infact I saw an employee at the first ER vet tonight. Wish I said yeah I certainly hope you never lose a pet. I arrived home and called that ER vet and complained about her.

Thank you CJ4 staff for another fun puzzle!

Please continue prayers for the California fire victims. I just read where a couple who had been married for 75 years died from the fires.

That was on our news here in Australia as well. I think he was 100 and she was close to it and they found him on the way to her, their son said the father would never leave the mother. So sad.

I've been following that news. So many lives disrupted or lost. What a huge job for the government and other agencies. I know they will recover. They will come together for each other as a community. I lived there during a tragedy many years ago...they are resilient. Still praying though.
