I am far from the fires, my family safe, but we are so sad for this tragedy...We are mourning 84 persons...There are still many persons missing and their families live in agony...

It was such a beautiful area. Such a shame and no one knows how it started, according to our news outlets. I am praying for those who have lost so much.

Thank you all for your prayers...The government says that it was arson and it spread so quickly because of the winds. The people say that there was not an organized plan of evacuation. Everyone tried to escape on their own and many people were trapped ) in homes, cars, even at the shore...We cannot bring lost people back, but everyone tries to help, giving food, clothes and averything else needed to the people who lost their homes, blood to the hospitals, even money to specific bank accounts

There is a reason why the Greek authorities are quite sure that arson was involved. Who would want to burn the property of wealthy people who resided by the sea? Apparently, there were several fires that were reported within a 2 hour period in divergent locations. These must have merged and spread. Most of the homes that were destroyed were expensive dwellings. Who had an interest or motive of revenge to motivate them to commit the heinous crime of arson? Hmm...
