I remember seeing instructions for making a hole in an egg sheel then piercing the yoke with a needle so the insides could be blown out and you would have an empty shell to keep indefinitely. I never tried it. Sounded near impossible to me.

I remember a brief period of time when even the least artistic among us could create beautiful eggs like these by using a store-bought shrink-wrap kit. You put the wrap on the egg then put it in hot water until it shrunk to fit the egg. The idea didn't last very long because the eggs were very, very hard to peel!

God bless you all.

Looking more closely on full screen these actually look like hollow plastic eggs with cut-outs. Comparing the ends where some have ribbons and some do not, those that do not seem to have a "lip" around the spot on the end.

There are some lovely patient people in this world, to do such beautiful work.

Every man is said to have his peculiar ambition. Whether it be true or not, I can say for one that I have no other so great as that of being truly esteemed of my fellow men, by rendering myself worthy of their esteem. How far I shall succeed in gratifying this ambition, is yet to be developed.

With the chocolate consumed this day, there will be a few hyper kids out there tonight. My thoughts are with those tying to settle them in to sleep.

God bless all of you and Happy Easter. Hugs.

Those children on a Chocolate High will be in school tomorrow! (I speak from experience! ) The solution is to plan as calm a day as possible ---- and hope their tiredness calms them down also.

:) Lovely solution, hope it works. The last two weeks have been school holidays where I live, so I think there will be a few parents who are breathing a sigh of relief when they go back to school tomorrow (18 April). Hugs.

What beautifully decorated eggs. Must have taken a long time to do this.

Yes it took an extremely long time - growing up my parents took us to an auditorium at a dept. store. In the front door, there were tables where women were sitting. They had a wooden sharp pen with wax. They were decorating the eggs. The store did shows every year and every season, xmas, easter. They even did a home and garden show in the spring. Now it's the flagship store for Macys - it wasn't Macys back then it was called Daytons. My sister went to school with their grandchildren.

What I think is weird is that their closing the flagship store location. I went to one Macy's location and had to speak to a manager.
