It was Remick's in Quincy, MA --- owned by Frank Remick, actress Lee Remick's father. It closed about 25 years ago. The goods and services were superb.

Not often do I see anyone mention anything in MA. I grew up in Brockton and still have a brother there. I have lived in Missouri since the 50s. Yes, I'm old, but not too old to give up using the computer.

I left MA three years ago to be near family in IL.

Interesting info about the store.
MA is such a pretty state. One of my favorite paintings I did on a bank of the Deerfield River. I did two at Bashbish Falls. I'm thinking of doing one this summer at Glendale Falls. The trip is 90 minutes from my house and the park is in the middle of nowhere with no facilities so I might not do it. I need to have a bathroom not far away.
I don't know where Brockton is. Is it near Springfield at all? I love the quad museum.

Pixipixil When you are in Deerfield again, don't miss the lookout point off one of the main roads in town. I can't think of the name. It is a winding road, but not long --- upward to the lookout area.
Some parts of it a one lane with lay-bys to wait for another car to pass. At the top you can see "forever" --- all the way to Amherst and the tall U of Mass buildings. Overlooks the Deerfield River.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY nborchardt - that's how long my marriage lasted and now it is almost four years since he walked out. One good thing came out of that in that I am now happy with my circumstances - Sometimes it would be nice to have a male around for company, but I can handle that lol. Sad news over the weekend a friend died battling cancer. All people battling with any type of cancer I am praying for you. May God give you strength and be by your side.
So sad for your Rozina, I have lost a few friends in the past couple of years, I guess I am at that age when this is going to happen often. Hugs.

Thank you all!!! Yes I am at that age too that I have outlived some of my friends However my family has at least 3 cancer survivors - PRAISE BE TO GOD!
Aussiesapphire ---- A few days ago someone mentioned a pain relief concoction made up of raw ginger, boiling water and sweetener. Someone asked for the recipe. If it appeared I missed it. Do you have it? My niece is badly in need of pain relief.

Thanks aknan, it has certainly eased my pain Jamp124, just have to keep taking it. The only thing that hurts now is my shoulder and sometimes my fingers, but we are approaching winter (June 1), so it is much colder now. I am sure it will help your niece. Hugs.
Looks like the inside of my personal shredder, however, mine is a crosscut shredder and the pieces are much smaller. Just one of the ways to protect oneself.
