That would be a hard one to cross-stitch. I don't think I would want to do that one.

Thank you, Taffi. I would miss having a place to inflict my puns on so many people.

Murphy says to Paddy, "What ya talkin into an envelope for? "
"I'm sending a voicemail ya fool! "

A grandmother overheard her 5-year-old granddaughter playing "wedding." The wedding vows went like this: "You have the right to remain silent, anything you say may be held against you, you have the right to have an attorney present. You may kiss the bride."

Did I tell this story before?
Johann Strauss was an avid mountain climber who once waltzed himself into deep trouble. He lost his footing and found himself hanging by his fingertips over a bottomless gorge.
Another climber heroically came to his rescue and just managed to grab Johann by a strap of his backpack to save the Maestro's life.
Since then, the act of trying to get out of a seemingly hopeless situation has come to be known as grasping at Strauss.

Lovely cross stitch offering. I just do not have the patience or interest to complete such an artistic offering. But I really respect the effort and the artistic accomplishment.

My thing is latch hooking and plastic canvas. It is pretty though.

I love latch hooking but have not done it for a long time. I started doing it when I was living in the US and found a rug about four feet square but a lot of the wool was missing, but I persisted and it is now a feature in my guest room. I counted the knots once and I think it came to several thousand. Hugs mamag.

I used to do cross stitch but do more knitting nowadays. I find that the knitting helps keep me on an even keel. I do have some cross stitch that I'd like to get done. Then again, I have some knitting I'd like to get done. Choices, choices! Plus the cross stitch needs to be done before the eyes say, nope, can't do it. Hugs to all 3 of you who are a wonderful part of C4J. It wouldn't be the loving place without you.

WOW that was a difficult one.

"Are you willing to stoop down and consider the needs and desires of little children; to remember the weaknesses and lonliness of people who are growing old; to stop asking how much your friends love you, and to ask yourself if you love them enough; to bear in mind the things that other people have to bear on their hearts; to trim your lamp so that it will give more light and less smoke, and to carry it in front so that your shadow will fall behind you; to make a grave for your ugly thougts and a garden for your kindly feelings, with the gate open? Are you willing to do these things for a day? Then you are ready to keep Christmas! "
– Henry Van Dyke

Good night and God bless. Hugs.

Dear Aussie -- you are an absolute treasure to this site. I don't often comment anymore, but this quote was so lovely, I'm sending you my deep appreciation for this an all the uplifting comments you share with us. Cyber hugs surround you daily, and mine are among them.

LuvsWesterns - thank you for that beautiful comment and I might mention that for some time you were my benchmark for points, but I seem to be getting slower on a daily basis. Your score is always great and you must have lightening fast fingers - would love to see them at work. Hugs.

You're very welcome, and the compliment is well-deserved. It wouldn't be the same without you! As far as my lightening fast fingers (LOL), I start with the 6 piece and work it until I get it down to 5 seconds. But it seems to take longer and longer. Perhaps it's my ISP (FIOS at basic speed that the Frontier telephone company provides), but I am getting older and sometimes think a 6 second time is good enough. Because I've changed to the Dynamic Cut for the 192 piece classic puzzle, I don't do any of the other classic cuts because of the weird piece-cuts. I concentrate on the 48 USA piece puzzle, the 57 oval, 60 wavy, and the 68 Crazy4Jigsaws that have to have the same cuts. I see you on the 68 Crazy4Jigsaws cut and remember we used to be within a second or two of one another. I guess it has just come with doing so many. For sure, working these puzzles has become one of my favorite pastimes. Hugs to you, my cyber friend. Always good to see your name and what you've shared with us for the day!

Sad news for some and good news for others, my membership in Crazy4Jigsaws is renewed for another year. Although it is difficult for me to do the puzzles because of my Parkinson's Disease, I can still comment and make those "rare" puns.
