I like the dogwood blossoms from yesterday. Going back to that puzzle. Finding Valentine's to be sad this year.
Has anyone used hair growth stuff? I'm wondering if it works and is it dangerous or does it come in with a different color than what hair you have left.

Pixi, my hair was thinning badly and I was about ready to get a wig, it was so bad. My hairdresser & my dermatologist recommended Nutraful, so about 7 months ago, I tried it. It's a herbal supplement and I honestly believe that it's helping my hair. It's a lot fuller and thicker than before, according to my hairdresser (who also uses it) and isn't falling out (hooray! ) anymore. Check out Nutraful.com and see what you think. You should plan on at least 3 months of usage before you see a difference. While it isn't inexpensive, it's my hair and to me, it's worth the cost. And my hair is coming in exactly the same color - silver white.

Leave your hair alone. Color if you wish. Used to have wigs that I wore and they worked fine--that was like 50 years ago. Buy a wig if necessary! I'm scared to try some of these new things they are coming out with. If you do use them, RESEARCH them. There are so many scams out now,

I take a Biotin every day that helps my hair. After I had covid my hair was thinning badly so I started 5000mg of Biotin every day. Really has made a big difference.

Thank you for the input and tips. I will look into both and research. I am seeing my dermataologist tomorrow and will see what she says, too. They calle today to remind me of my appointment. Lucky I was around to get the call as I had forgotten all about it.

Saw the dermatologist and she didn't think it would help because my hair loss is genetic.
Thank you for your suggestions anyway.

I'd definitely try both remedies. If neither works for you at least you tried everything.

I hope there are new ones that don't itch like the old ones did when I was a teen.

Pixi, Nutrafol can help with genetic thinning. Please check out the site and look over the stories.

Pixipixil, how does your dermatologist know your hair loss is genetic?

I didn't ask but my mother and aunt had thinning hair. I think it's unusual when that doesn't happen and also I suppose she saw no signs of disease or infection...but I didn't ask.

I started using 5000mg of Biotin to try and make my fingernails stronger and after a few months it made my hair start falling out. I researched Biotin and found that to much can cause hair loss. I stopped using it and fortunately my hair loss stopped. Be careful if you try that route.

Well, please seriously consider Biotin 5000mg or the Nutraful (which has Biotin in it) before deciding not to take any action.

Now you two have put me in an awkward position.
I can't take advice from both of you. I don't take multivitamins or biotin. But I will research it.

Follow your heart, pixi - if your research gives you hope, go ahead and try. BTW, I used to use biotin - one dose is 5, 000 mg - and I found no difference in hair loss. Not everything works for everyone.

Ain't that the truth! I have lactose intolerance and one product works for me but Lactaid doesn't.

Biotin is fine but just watch the dosage Hair and nail products with biotin (at a smaller dosage) is great.

Hi jfleenor. Don't remember seeing your name before. Are you in or from New Mexico? My hubby was born there.

I have never enjoyed making cookies

I agree, fiestyolelady! It's too much timing, and in and out of the oven. I'd much rather make one item --- brownies, cake,
bread, squares.

Food is an expression of art. What you do with the food can throw you appetite out the window or make you eat more than you should. Food should fill both the spirit and body with anticipation and joy. Enough have food fun and love what you eat.
