Notice how the golden yellow seems to gt lighter towards the bottom? I'm wondering if the surrounding colors cause it to appear to be gradually changing but it is actually all the same color.
I could also be uneven exposure. All the colors look darker along the top. Yellow isn't one of those colors that is easily influenced. The tertiaries and brown are. It's one of the more interesting things about color theory.
