I used to make costume jewelry and have some stones that are similar I bought to make some pieces.

They are all pretty. Never did go rock hunting. We live in NC and have gone to the beach a lot but didn't think about rocks.

My dad bought a rock tumbler when I was a teen. We didn't know which rocks you could tumble and many fell apart but it was fun to see them turn out shiny when they held together. I'd like to buy one of those again. I collected a lot of rocks from out trips. Many were small enough to polish.
