My dad bought a rock tumbler when I was a teen. We didn't know which rocks you could tumble and many fell apart but it was fun to see them turn out shiny when they held together. I'd like to buy one of those again. I collected a lot of rocks from out trips. Many were small enough to polish.

Now that I see you both talking about it, I remember fervently yearning after a rock tumbler as a kid. And I just realized - I could actually buy one now! Just looked on Amazon and they have a ton of options, most about $49-69. Ah, I wish I still had my childhood collection!
