Not many other flowers have the vibrancy or variety of color you find in primulas. I have two survivors in my yard but it is, alas, not a place hwere these thrive.

Primroses were more popular in the mid 1900s, but I think they are still a beautiful, colorful addition to any flower garden.

Glad I don't any flowers blooming here this morning, we have ice, sleet & snow in our yard. Temp is only 30 at the time. Got the heat back on! Also have a earthquake yesterday of 3.5 & a 4.9 this morning! Wonderful weather here! Our Red Bud Tree has beautiful blooms on it don't think it will hurt it is quit large! But I do think the blooms will probably fall off after this weather. Have a great day!

Your weather sounds awful. I'm really glad the heat is back on for you, that has to feel good! It's like we're on two different planets, you're at 30 and I'm at 3/10 days in the 90's! My A/C is to me what your heater is to you right now. I looked up redbud tree to see a picture, they're really pretty! I didn't know they grew into big trees, I thought they were dwarfs. I've felt mild earthquakes before and they're eerie, aren't they? Do you get them often? Sounds like you get quite a variety in your weather.

Rahrah1820 - I think we now have more than California, just lots of small ones but this last week has more than usual: two 3.1 on Fri, two on Sat. 4.6 & 3.2 & today so far 4.3 & 3.2. Some I have notices as my monitor will feel them & start shaking! I think I also felt the one on Sat. It depends where they were.

These are primrose flowers. Very popular in New England--actually the name also is that of the elementary school where my children went. Aren't they beautiful?!

Yes, they are beautiful! I'm glad to know the name of them as well. How long were you a teacher, BayGrannie? My daughter just went back to teaching after being away from it for almost 2 decades. She's teaching 3rd grade, and loving it. She quit such a long time ago because one of the middle school guys (over 6' tall) hurt her, and not much was done about it. I think her pride was hurt more than her body, but she's blooming where God has planted her now. I hated to see her education not being put to use, although she always had good jobs.

This is one of my favorite puzzles.....I've done it in several cuts, but this is the first time I've scored in the top 3 in classic mode. For some reason I have more trouble with classic mode than any other cut.
