Fabulous! Too much goopy-looking frosting to be eaten in real life, however.

My hubby would agree with you.....he doesn't like icing. I like a fine layer of icing, but not piled on.

That is what I thought too. Much to goopy-looking. My husband and I are not icing fans. I made chocolate cupcakes earlier this week with no icing. We have been sick and had no taste at all for two weeks, just ate soup. This week we both had a taste for chocolate. :)

Hi tomandray. So glad you and hubby are feeling better. I was in mood to make cupcakes, but now that I see these brownies, it might be brownies. :)

Hi Hockeyfan! Good to hear from you. We are feeling better. Yesterday was the first day out since getting sick. The fresh air and getting about was wonderful. I had cabin fever.
It's odd, at times we have a taste for something, and it doesn't seem to go away until we meet that craving. Now cupcakes don't interest me at all. The brownies didn't trigger any response, good I'm over that. Chocolate craving went away. :) Hey Hockeyfan, how are you doing? Still very cold where you are? Well, have a great evening.

Hi tomandray. Today we are to be in the 40's. We've had two days of full sunshine, but it didn't melt much of the 5" of snow we have. Today we have no sunshine, but the temps seem to be melting the snow quickly. Glad for that. Guess we are gearing up for a round of ice Tuesday. :( I, too, have a case of cabin fever, so we went out for lunch. Enjoyed that very much. Won't be much longer until the Olympics. :) Have a great day.

Very little icing for me but my hubby likes plenty. I made him an 8 X 8 German Chocolate cake for his birthday this week and 12 cupcakes. All the icing went on the cake for him. Worked out great. German Chocolate was just enough chocolate, too. Like the colorful puzzle.

Hi, hockeyfan. We could actually see some accumulation here. The forecasters are waiting to see. 3 storms coming at everyone. We'll just get rain for starters. I posted, too, about the cupcakes. Too pretty to eat. I do like cream cheese icing sometimes but most icing is just too sweet.

Hi Kycowgirl and Hockeyfan, The problem with any icing is the X-10 sugar, it's full of corn starch. Very bad for digestion and give a "sugar high" worst than espresso; I can't sleep. The cupcakes alone are ok, no sugar rush there even with the darkest of chocolate. RE: weather, it's just cold here again and we haven't seen the sun in two days. Need this to go away, the house is a damp-cold. :( RE: Olympics!!!! Can't wait!!! Looking forward to hockey and the ice skating. Have a great evening/morning.

Hi tomandray. My friend that lives in FL said it's been cold and rainy her way too. Sure hasn't been FL weather. Yes, the Olympics will be exciting as there hasn't been much on tv lately. :))))

Hi Hockeyfan, I know what you mean, there really have been not much to watch on tv. I do like to watch after the news, but that will end too. Leno will be leaving when the Olympics start, I will miss him and his jokes, very funny. Well, I do have a good stockpile of books to read after the Olympics are finished. :) Love to read. And then there is always the puzzles. :) Have a great day.

We just got our schedule in the evening paper for the time and day of each event for the Olympics. That will help me plan my evenings in advance. First time they have ever done this. Very nice feature. :)

Hi Hockeyfan, No such schedule in our local paper. :( So I will rely on the NBC Olympic broadcasting schedule. I did enjoy last nights snowboard and the team ice skating. Did you watch. And then afterward, watched Jay Leno's last show. That was really a good show with Billy Crystal, Garth Brooks and all the suprise guests. Jay was all choked up at the end. He will be missed.

Hello tomandray. yes, I watched the snowboarding and team ice skating. Enjoyed both. Caught most of Jay Leno. The guest I saw was fabulous. I chocked up with him at the end. He sure will be missed. Seems like shows I like, they take them off. :(

Hi Hockeyfan, Yes, I chocked up at the end too, just don't want to let Leno go. Late night TV is just not the same without him. Went to get a glimps of David L., only because he had Reggis on, gee...No Thanks. Then I took a looksie at Jimmie Kimmel, not really interesting. There is something a bit negative about that guy, too bad. So no thanks. Leno was at the top, I don't understand why they made him go. He was interesting and had a good show. Channel 8, Tampa had info on Jay, he's working down here for the weekend. He was in Sarasota on Fri. and is in Tampa and Clearwater the remainder of the weekend. :) He seems to love to work. Wonder what is next for him. Hockeyfan, you are right! Shows I like seem to go away much to quickly. Very disappointing. :( Well, for now there is the Olympics! :) Have a fun day! And, please rest and relax that foot.

Hi tomandray, yes, I believe Leno is a worker. Sure he will keep himself very busy. Nice Leno being in the Tampa area. Smart place to be in this weather. :) When we lived there, I remember him being in Tampa. Never did like Kimmel. Yes, we have the Olympics now! Foot feeling little better today. Keeping it wrapped helps tremendously. Have a good day.

Ok, I've read and re-read and can't find out. What happened to your foot?

Feb 10, 2014
Good morning kycowgirl, we have lots of ice here. I was going to get mail and slipped, didn't fall, on a ridge of ice and must have cracked or pulled a ligament onside of my left foot. Hard to walk, but I will be okay. Hope you've all been safe from this horrible winter. :)))))))

I've found aspercreme works wonders of these things along with keeping it wrapped & warm. I had polio as a child and pulling a ligament is quite common for me, they loose their elasticity.

I have aspercreme. Will put that on tonight. Never thought of it. It's feeling better each day. I don't like being strapped down and not able to do things I want to do. :((((((

I know that feeling, spent 3 weeks in a soft cast and on regualar cruthes (I never did learn to use them) but I learned to be really careful and how to crawl up and down the stairs.
