Late today doing puzzles. Waiting for the tree people to come to take a tree out. Then will put a new one in. Hope they come before it rains.

We've recently planted a Drake Elm after we had to have a gorgeous live oak taken out. The oak was invading the driveway, the house foundation, and the street. I absolutely love live oaks but they should never be planted in residential lots (it was here when we bought the house back in 1978); their natural form is for their old branches to arch toward the ground which helps support the tree.

They came and took out my tree today. Loved it but it started dying last year. It was a plum tree--no plums. Now I have to go to the nursery and find another tree and have it planted. I can't have a tree that's too big.

We did a fair amount of internet searching for what trees were good in our area.

That's what I have done. First went to the nursery and looked at them and wrote down the names. Then came back and researched them. Now have to look at the list again and go back to the nursery.

My tree has been in about 2 years this month. Love it. It is a "plum" tree, but no plums!

Might depend on how old the tree has to be before it bears fruit. Or maybe it needs a pollinator.

Not suppose to bear fruit. Don't know why it is call a "plum" tree, but that's the name somebody gave it. It loses most of its leaves in the winter (Florida) but in the spring it has little flowers before the leaves come out.

I also have a couple of trees that are called Plum Trees that have no fruit, and have masses of little white flowers in the spring. (In Los Angeles.) I just looked it up online and it said, "Plum trees (Prunus) that do not produce plums are known as ornamental, or flowering, plum trees." I didn't know that, I always wondered why my so-called "plum" trees never made any plums!

Looks like an LSD trip from what I've heard about how trippers see colors. This artist couldn't decide on the colors or the lines.
The colors are pretty so I enjoyed the puzzle.
Hope you find a way to enjoy things today.

Hi Dinta. Yes. After a while we can find tricks to help us improve our times. Doing a puzzle more than once usually helps.
