Bought a bird house two months ago, but don't think any bird has occupied it. I purchased it after a bird started to build a nest in the flowered decoration I had on my front door. I felt so bad when I discovered the partial nest and took the nesting material out. I heard the little bird crying as I did this and my heart just broke. I'm still sad.
Hmmm...painted lady birdhouses. Could these be in a yard in San Francisco? Fun puzzle and I love the colors. I have a homemade one hanging in my Japanese maple that is the same green color with a purple roof, but on a much smaller scale. No one has taken residence in my cute little house, but they sure love the peanut suet I put in the tree every couple days. I always tell people these birds have a $3.00 dollar a day habit. Between them and the squirrels, I'm going to have to go out and get a job. Ha Ha.
