Allow yourself to grieve, dear friend, and remember that God gave us tears to help us bear deep sorrow and pain. There is a huge hole in your heart right now and I'm filling it with prayers for you.

Thank you Aknan. He was my sole companion. The friends we did make have been very supportive. I'll be glad when the funeral and interment are over. Trying to figure our how to handle refreshments is giving me a headache. The church doesn't provide a place for that. When my son died we used a different church that did provide it.

Buried my husband today. God gave us a gorgeous spring day to inter him. The flowering trees and bushes are singing God's praises. WE had an after burial meal and my brotehr and I came home and slept. He is still asleep.He is staying with me and leaves on Sunday. Until then I will be okay. Every one has been so kind. Thank you nhoward. I am both glad for and sad for the silent house. My husband did little talking and my brother talked almost constantly. After a while my head would start to vibrate...not a headache at all but it was overstimulated by the constant conversation. I am glad for some time to myself. This is one Sunday I will try to rest.

Enjoy the peace and quiet, pixi - I understand about having a chatty guest in the house, no matter how dear. You will now be able to practice your vocals at any time, BTW. Don't be offended at that comment, please. Hugs.

Just read about your husband. So sorry to hear that. I hope you had special friends and family close to help you through this. We have written back and forth and then to see this is so sad with no warning with his health I assume. Praying to give you the strength you'll need.

Dear Jazz and Becky...thank you for your prayers and condolences. Yes it was totally unexpected. He did not have a heart condition. I did not see him die. He went out to do the lawn (which he finished) and when I went to see why he hadn't come in when I heard the mower wasn't going any more he was lying in the grass face down.
They did not do an autopsy eventhough they said they woudl. The doctor and ME decided together to call it a heart attack from fibrilation--something he never had that we knew about--and I found this out at the wake.

Oh Pixi, I'm sorry but I just read about your loss of your husband. I don't know how I missed it. I am so sorry and you have my sincere condolences. The older I get, the more often this news comes about. My prayers to you and your family. I am glad to see you are eating and sleeping a little better. It will never be the same, so you will have to fashion a new normal for yourself. It takes time and prayer.

Friends and neighbors have been wonderful in addition to family. It is awe inspiring to expewrience the goodness of the people aroound me. Not to mention here on C4J.

Sometimes when I as trying to post a comment, the comment section freezes up, for what ever reason. I thought it was just my computer, but it seems that you were having the same problem. It does go away and you can continue typing and then when it decides to work again, your comment is posted. Annoying.....most definitely!

Elijah13, I am ALWAYS putting off my grocery shopping. Seems like I wait until I'm out of everything! There's nothing to eat in the morning now but I still put it off for yet another day. Then I have to buy a huge amount of stuff that takes forever to put away, oh brother. Well, I always used to put off writing the term paper until the night before, so I guess nothing has changed. I hope you have a brilliant day tomorrow!

Going grocery shopping tomorrow after I get my hair done----so I will look beautiful --ha! Also ended up calling Hanes this morning and she took my order. Told her the web site was not cooperating with me!
