Clean! Clean! Clean! It is Spring Cleaning time. I was recently asked by someone of the younger generation, "What is "Spring Cleaning? " Needless to say, I tried to explain without going back an entire generation....BaaHaaHaaaaaaaaaaa!!!!!
Been there, done that, but don't do as much now. Cleaning women do it for me. However, I do the kitchen counters. They do everything else. I only do little chores when they are not here.
Me, too. Been there, done that.....raised 8 kids, 7 of whom were teenagers at the same time (twins in the middle). It was a TRIP.

And, to continue with my story.....When people ask my kids how come they didn't serve in the military like mom and dad did, they answer, "We know what Boot Camp was like; We lived it every day; nobody left for school until beds were made, chores done and books/homework in hands.

Try cleaning the place I live in, we have 69 bedrooms, 2 flats, 8 sitting areas, countless bath and shower rooms, 5 bungalows, 1 retreat room miles of corridors and 5 Offices and then of course the Chapel, all cared for by about a dozen domestics,. I forgot the kitchen and 3 dinning rooms. I can only say I am sompleased it is not my responsiblity.
Didn't really think in terms of spring cleaning but dog sat a few weeks back and now need to have my carpets shampooed due to the many "accidents". Have spent the last two days moving furniture into un-carpeted areas. They will do their thing tomorrow then I get to put it all back again. In the process I have given some of my father's large, masculine furniture to my nephew and will be going a little bit more feminine, so I have bunches of stuff I don't know what to do with until I have something to replace the original stuff with. What a dilemma! Yard sale, anyone?
