Sadness can take your joy for the season dim, but you can be the light that gives it meaning once again. Fill that void with love.

No cat, dogs or babies to unwrap them.

I have a cat helping me with my puzzle tonight. She sits in front of the screen and makes it rather difficult to see the pieces. That's why some of my timing on these puzzles takes a longer time!

My cat likes to get on the table in front of me but then stretch's out on the keys and has caused some problem's. I make sure it is on save.

None of my 3 cats have ever gotten on the keys. They walk around or over them. I have one that likes to sit in front of my keyboard so usually stop and do something else until she moves.

This is a lovely picture. I have got all the presents bought, wrapped and under the tree. This is another first without my husband, Pete. I don't know why there seems to be a lot less presents when there is one person absent. And I don't know how I will get through this holiday that he loved so much. I guess that is what faith helps us to do, when the hard times when someone has been called home. I can do this with lots of prayers and faith. Blessings upon blessings to all of you!!

Prayers for you this Holiday Season. It will be hard for you, but with family and friends close by, you'll do fine.

I went through this when my son died. My husband was alive but as far as he was concerned going to Mass was what mattered and nothing else. He would tell me go buy what you want. Then he would ask for things like magazine subscription renewals. It had stopped being Christmas for me long before he died.

Dear nhoward, my heart aches for you. Just know we have the hope of seeing our loved ones again when we know Jesus. I will be thinking of you on Christmas day. Lots of love. Your Aussie friend.

Nhoward, the first holdays without a loved one are always hard. I won't say they get easier as time goes by, but they become different and more your own. Hang tight to your faith and your memories and my prayers are always with you.

I used to wrap present's with all the ribbon and bows. My kids always told people that I did it fancy. I got away from that now. I should do it again. I don't know if any family will be here.

Great picture...wonder if any of these presents are for me? Ha ha. I have exactly two gifts under my tree. All my kids and grandkids live in other states, so I send them checks inside their cards. I lost my partner of 30 yrs. two years ago, so don't really feel like a merry Christmas without his laughter any more.
