Hi Hockeyfan, Never got around to do this puzzle in Dec. Catching up on some of the older ones. :) Today was laundry day and hanging up some more of our art work. Hubby polished up some of the wood doors. It was a busy day. Now it's just drying and folding and done for the day. :) Hope you are having a good day. :) Keep warm. :))

Hi tomandray, I think I am now caught up on all my puzzles. Some I want to go back and work in larger sizes. Been wanting to do that lately. The computer is by the window and it is so bright and cheerful. When I wasn't feeling so good, it was all I could do to turn computer on and work on the daily ones. Hope your feeling much better. Seems everyone is carrying some kind of germ this winter. Staying at home for me is the safe way. Have a blessed evening. :)

Hi Hockeyfan, Sorry to say, I'm not over this yet. I've had a terrible bout with my stomach for the past few days. I haven't been out since last week Thurs. My stomach is that messed up. We still have not been out for our Valentine dinner. It will just have to wait. I've been on and off sick for just over a month. Have not gotten much done the last couple of days. :( Have not felt like doing puzzles yesterday. Have not caught up with back puzzles. Just not much in the mood. I'm hoping this will all pass once the cold weather has gone. I do get outside on my front patio, sit on the bench and catch some sun when it's nice enough to be out there. The sun feels good on the face and legs. You are right in saying, staying at home is the safe way. Can't catch anything else and have time to recuperate. Hope you feel better soon. Take care and keep warm. :)

Hi tomandray. Ugh, was so hoping to hear you were feeling better. I'm on my third week of just feeling lifeless. I do feel like I'm getting some appetite back, however, ndon't feel like cooking.......maid where are you? LOL We got about three inches of snow so far. It's warming up and snow is turning to rain now. Suppose to be like this all day. Less than a month till Spring. I have so many plans for when I can have windows open and be able to get outside. All we can do is "hang in there" and know each day puts us closer to warm weather. It is nice you can sit in the sun a little. Will be thinking of you. Get better my friend. :)

Got to find the tunnel first....where did it go? Keep warm. :)) Hello to Crickett from KitKat...hope he's keeping warm. :)

Feb 22, 2015
Hi Hockeyfan,
We wound up going nowhere today, hubby not feeling well. Made a stir-fry and just settled in to watch TV. At least there were two good old movies to watch. I know what you mean, "where's the maid" I need one. Don't seem to have much energy.
You had snow today, followed by rain? That will be a real mess tomorrow with the freeze overnight. I'd stay in until it melts and goes away. Take care and keep warm. :))

Feb 23, 2015
Hi tomandray and CatLadyOKC....Yes where is the tunnel. LOL I keep drinking lots of fluids and eating mostly fruit. Seems to be working. When we all feel better it will be Spring.....let's hope. Hope enjoyed your movies, and hoping hubby feels better. :}

Hockeyfan & tomandray: Still looking for the tunnel, also the maid (maybe she is hiding in the tunnel). Cricket says hi to KitKat, he is not going out in that white stuff, only like the dust brown stuff. Think we are going to do a pot roast in the crockpot tomorrow, son says he'll get the stuff (grocery just 2-3 blocks away). He is taking some of his vacation time, they may have a project in Florida they want him on. He also has been trouble shooting things for them from here some of the time. Sounds like you both may be on the upside of the tunnel, be sure and take care of yourselves.

Hi CatLadyOKC, You made me laugh, and that has been a difficult thing to do of late. I have to go see if there is a maid in the tunnel. :))) Well, yesterday we were out, finally! We had our Valentine lunch. Went to a "new" Italian restaurant down the street, been meaning to try it for a few weeks. It was fantastic, everything so nice and fresh, made from scratch. We will be going back again. While driving out of our driveway, I saw my first robin! My husband said he saw a flock of them a couple of days prior. They seem to be 2 weeks late this year, but of course we are in a new place. RE: your son, has he packed his bags yet...Florida here I come! :) I know you will miss him and his help around the house, good to have a younger member of the family around. Keeps things interesting. :)
I do feel like I am on the mends, just about. :) I am careful with my stomach, keeping it light. :)
Take care and keep warm, spring is just around the corner. :)

Hi CatLadyOKC.......yes, I am happy for your son too. Nice you all could have a little time together. It will seem quiet for a while. Saw where you had the snow. Yes, March sure is an unpredictable weather month just about everywhere. Spring not far off now. Hugs to you.

Put a rumb roast & veggies in crock pot this morning, now we are all stuffed...Son flys out Tue afternoon, he has been there before, this time it may be as long as 6 months. He has been here since before Christmas so we have had a nice long visit. Crickett helped hubby carve the roast, the stands up behind him and puts his paws, with claws, in his back jean pockets. Lots of help. We have more snow on the ground again today about 2-3" again, but temps are suppose go up again to 50-60's in a couple of days so it won't last long. Both of you take care of yourselves. :)

Hi Hockeyfan and CatLadyOKC, Soup was good, Creamy Cauliflower is always delicious, just a bit more creamy with sour cream added, YUM :))
We have had a beautiful day on Sunday, sunny and warm......drum roll please, 83 degrees! :))
So Crickett helped daddy to slasher cut the roast, must have been finely sliced. :)) Very helpful! :) Take care and keep healthy. :)

Here we go again, got to 58 today - tomorrow ice, sleet & snow with high 25 & low tomorrow nite 12. Isn't this fun....Son should be in San Diego by now, they were delayed in Phoenix. At least I made it to the library today & picked up 4 more books, so that is were I'm heading shortly to bed & read for an hour or two. Good to hear you are both feeling better. Crickett has already gone to bed must have been a hard day to day helping get every thing done. The upstairs is back to just us again.

Mar 6, 2015
Hi CatLadyOKC.......we ended up with between 9 and 10 inches. Some ice first, but not what they predicted we would get. I, too, took a book and went to bed. They put on every social media we were to stay off the streets and roadways so they start trying to clean up what was falling. Sure glad it is over and hope that it's the last of ole man winter. Just before the snow started falling, the field behind our place was filled with about 30 Robins. Sure sign of Spring to me. Glad we all survived the storm. :)
CatLadyOKC
Mar 6, 2015
We only got between 3-4", and it is all gone today, in fact most was gone yesterday, had a appt. for hair cut at noon and the streets were pretty clean by then. We got up to around 40 yesterday afternoon. We did break an all time record for this month with just that one storm. Good to hear you made it okay...

Mar 8, 2015
It was 51 here today and very sunny. Most of our snow is gone except where piled during shoveling. Glad you didn't anymore than you did. I also got my hair done yesterday as well. It sure needed it. Spring I think is trying really hard to make its appearance. Hope so. :)

Just about finished for today, has been a long day...didn't do the time change well at all. Think we have finally got all of the clocks changed except for the answering machine, but it is never right anyway. Temps have been good here, think by next weekend we are suppose to be in the 70's which will be great, and tomorrow we should get some rain, but I also thing temps are suppose to be in the 60's & we could also use the rain. Think maybe spring is really on it's way :)

Hi Hockeyfan and CatLadyOKC, We had a nice week this past week. Only had one cold/rain day, which was Friday. Been away on Wed/Thurs., came home with a friend to visit us for a few days. We took her home today, the drive is too long for her to drive herself. Had a nice time visiting. Seems all of our migratory (sp? ) birds have left us. Robins are gone and moving north. Seems like spring is coming your way. :) According to Weather.com, you will be having some nice weather for the next week, apart for a bit of rain. For the most part, we will be in the higher 80's for temp. We went for a walk at the beach on Sat. and Sun., much too crowded on Sunday. Spring breakers are in. We got all our clocks changed Sun. morning, do not enjoy having to do this. The body has to readjust to a new time. :( Take care, and have a great week. :)) Hello to Crickett from the KitKat. :) >^-^<

Mar 10, 2015
Hi tomandray.......nice to have a friend visit. Glad you all enjoyed yourselves. Yes changing all the clocks is not my idea of fun. LOL But do enjoy it staying lighter longer each day now. Our snow is almost gone as we have been having rain here and there and lots of warmer temps and sunshine. 10 more days till Spring. :)

Still around, son is finally on the road again...after almost 4 months here. He has been in D.C., Calif., Mich., Ind., Miss., Louis., then goes to Calif.?. Really hopping all over the country...he is doing trouble spot testing. Hubby has finally out of therapy for his hand. Crickett is doing okay, skinny but still is normal cat attitude. He sends you hugs....I still around doing as little as I can, was hot here yesterday in the 80's (not normal for this time of year), also the 5.1 earthquake got my attention, not only did my monitor shake but my chair was shaking too. What have you been up too...have not see Hockeyfan for sometime.
tomandray
Feb 22, 2016
Hi CatLadyOKC, So nice to hear from you. My computer was down for two weeks. Hubby did some updating and repair, but it's still not quite right. The scaling of my apps, and some web sites is not right. Just don't know how to fix them. Still playing around to get it all just right.
Yes, that earthquake would get my attention; stay safe. Our weather has been very nice, in the 70's for the most part. I've been on the lookout for the robins, but so far no sign of them. They'll be here soon.
So nice your son is getting around the country, gets to see the country on the company dime, and has a job too. :))
Happy for you and your husband, he's out of therapy and I take it, doing well.
So glad Crickett is doing okay. I was wondering about him, wishing him well...and kitty hugs & caresses. >^-^<
We have not been up to much of anything. Getting out and about, getting some fresh air, headed to the beach one day just to walk about. Water is much too cold. No one in the water. :)) You had temps. in the 80's? Well, we did not hit that as yet, 78 deg. yes, but not 80. It takes us a bit longer to warm up than say Tampa, we're a bit more north in the "Nature Coast" area. Your 80 degrees, well it's just a tease. Still have a bit of winter ahead, but spring is just around the corner. :)
Regarding Hockeyfan, I don't know what happened to her. I wrote to her more than a month ago, but nothing. Sent her a Valentine e-greeting, she picked it up, but no response. She normally acknowledges receiving the card. I do know she wanted to move, but don't know what is up with that. I guess she is tired of being cold. Could have been a tough winter for them. :(
I'm going to have my cousin from up in CT come to visit for a week, just don't know when...she has a job. She's sick of the cold and snow too. Needs a break. It will be nice to see her, it's been about 12 years since she's been down to FL. Well, that is all for me for now. Love and Hugs to you and hubby. Keep healthy.

Feb 22, 2016
Great to hear from you!!! Sounds like you are doing good, hope you get your computer straighten out. Son had to fix somethings on hubby's yesterday. I'm still getting to know my new one, that may take for ever. I haven't seen anything from Hockeyfan. Oh, by the way out temps are like usual, tomorrow we will get rain & could get some lite snow. Son is getting to see the country, he is drive testing trouble spots for one of the cell phone companies, call one day & he ended up on dirt road, he see's some areas that he has planned for he has ended up on a golf course one time and another time he had a cow run into the rental, (he was stopped).
He sometimes sends pics last ones were the beach area from Gulf Port, before he went to Louisiana. Take care and keep in touch I'm on most days unless my computer is down or there is lightening in the area. Hugs from Crickett. Hugs to both of you from us, think both of us are over most of the crud...it didn't shut us down, just slowed us down.
tomandray
Feb 22, 2016
Hi CatLadyOKC, Had a good laugh! Oh my, sounds like your son had a "run in" with a lonely cow, needed to get "up close and personal"! :))))))) Your son sure has an exciting job. :))
Yes, we are doing good now. Needs to stay that way. :) I received a call yesterday from "The Marian".....Oh NO! She's a carrier of some sort of "bug". Four year in a row, we got sick from her. I have not gotten back to her as yet, but I feel nervous, I think she wants to visit. This just can't happen this year. I'll have to "bite the bullet" and call her back.
Re: computer, well today was a whole new problem. A high pitched "whistle" sound coming out of the speaker. I thought I got rid of it, but NO, there it is again. :( Had to hit mute in a hurry. That noise can drive a person crazy. Still looking for a solution. :( Wish me luck. :))
It does take a long time learning the idiosyncrasies of a new computer....Wishing You luck with yours. :))
Re: Hockeyfan. Yes I do miss her banter, but I do believe she is up to something and putting all of her energy into it. I'll drop her a line again just to see if I get a "nibble". :)) I always loved going fishing with my dad and uncles when I was a kid. Caught a lot of rainbow trout. :))
Our temps and weather is about to change too. We're supposed to get rain and temps dropping into the low 60's. That's okay, we do need the rain.
Take care of yourselves, keep warm and a big kitty hug to the Crickett. >^-^< Keep in touch. :)
CatLadyOKC
Feb 22, 2016
Our son says there is nothing wrong with our computers, but the two old people using them may have some problems, usually all he has to do is straighten them up again not sure he meant the computer or us.....getting ready to shut down shortly, have rain moving in this evening and it could have lightening....have a great evening.
tomandray
Feb 23, 2016
:)))))))))) Your son is funny! Straighten out the computer and THEN the "Old people", well...then his job is done! :))) What did Crickett have to say about this? :))))) >^-^<

Hi CatLadyOKC, Today will be a rain/storm day for us. Will be staying in, probably doing puzzles early. have a lot of writing to do also...need to catch up with correspondence. So will talk to you later. Have a good day and caresses to Crickett. :)) >^-^< Hugs to you all. :))

Feb 25, 2016
Hi CatLadyOKC! Are you there? Puzzling today? I got a message from Hockeyfan last night. She's okay, very busy. But the "Big News" is, her son made up with her and her husband! Hockeyfan and hubby had not heard from their son in 4 years. They're doing good now. So very happy for her, her family is finally back together. :) I will be writing to her tonight, do you want me say "hello" to her....or anything else, from you? I'd like to let her know, you were asking about her. :) Let me know.
Regarding our storm from Tues/Wed. night....I was up all night with all the winds/thunder/downpour rain. What a headache! Was so glad when it was gone. Some part of our state and north of us, were not lucky. They were hit bad, but we were okay. I had brought in anything that could fly away; flag, potted plants, hanging baskets, etc. Luckily, we had no damage.

I felt like a truck had hit me all of early morning and all day because of the storm. Didn't eat a thing all day. But towards 6 pm Wed., I started feeling better. So glad that has passed. I was sitting at my desk in the office all day, and right around 6pm I saw a huge hawk fly into the tree right outside my office window. Magnificent, beautiful brown/beige hawk. It kept looking into my window. :) Huge hawk, what a large wing span. :) So glad he stopped by. Made my day. :) A wonderful gift from God...made me smile. :)
Hoping all of you are fine. You've gotten cold again with 45 deg. temp. We're a bit more chilly again. :) It's not even March yet. :)) Have to be patient. :)

Now what is the "special shake", just wondering?
Have a GREAT DAY. :) Caress to the Crickett and Hugs all around. :)) >^-^<

Feb 25, 2016
Just about to finish long note to you, but went to look at the temps & lost all of it....upper 20's to low 50's today (haven't made the 50's yet). Very windy from the N. today. Really happy for Hockeyfan, that would be so hard to have that happen, glad they are back together.
Saw you had storms yesterday, was glad to hear from you. Son found out he was less than a mile from the one in Louisiana (the RV park one). He had gone to eat about that time just near his motel. Special shake-skim milk & vanilla sugar free ice cream...Vet says he can anything he wants, he is 17 years old and skinny now. Son goes to Calif. this weekend then, will go to Wisc. & Iowa the next on the list, & thinks Penn. area is the next one. They are really hopping him around the country. We are still trying to get over the "crud" hubby is better than I am, but also my allergies are bothering me with the temp. changes and the wind. Red Cedars, are bad this year, also several others that have pollen this time of year. I take med. for them year round...if it can blow in the air it bothers me. Haven't seen anything thing as interesting as you did, just some robins & cardinals in the yard, checking for worms (our ground temp is not real cold this year) so if we get light snow it won't stick for long. We have gotten snow in Mar. some years, don't think veg. garden this year...get tired of having to go out and cover things one day & take it off the next day....too much work. Have a great day....I'll be on later than usual tonight as I'm way behind today, just moving slow today!
tomandray
Feb 25, 2016
Hi CatLadyOKC, I have not seen any robins. Our Eastern Bluebird was back again today. Does not seem afraid of the "Red Tailed Hawk". "The crud", if you are referring sinus allergies, that is on-going most of the year. There is always something blooming around here, plus the moss and mold. :(
Your son really is hopping around the country. Does he fly to all these locations?
Well, got to get going, have laundry to finish-up that's in the dryer. Have a great evening. :)
CatLadyOKC
Feb 25, 2016
Think we've had the flu, not bad but we miss our flu shots early last fall when we were dealing with the broken hand. Yes the company he works for flies to most of the time & then they have him pick up a rental car. We will not miss them this year....I need to take time out to get white bleach load out of the dryer & get them fold & put up but haven't gotten to it. Hubby will put things in the washer & then get them to the dryer, I get the picking up and getting to the laundry & the folding & putting it away. He will put the things that need to go on hangers if I get them to him. I have a small laundry room, has room for washer, dryer, sorter bins, and hanging area over the freezer it also has small refrigerator that we use for pop, juices, flours, other overflow items. We have more house than we need now, but it still works for us.

Mar 2, 2016
Hi CatLadyOKC, Noticed you had very bad weather a few days ago. Are you alright? Hubby and I have been under the weather for a few days. We came home on Sunday, hubby bent down to untie his shoes, I thought he was going to pass out. He was feeling so bad....he rushed to the bathroom, and that was that. He was down until this morning. It hit me just a few hours later. My stomach was like a balloon, inflammation! Could not eat a thing until today. And cold to the bone; wore my jacket in the house...it was 74 deg. in here! Stayed in bed for the last two days. I took some antibiotic, feeling better finally today around 2pm. We had to get out of the house, get some errands done, also groceries. Hubby bought me a birthday cake, Italian Cream Cake! My birthday is 3/3...I'll be 63!!! A great age! :)) In my dad's family, age 62 is the danger age. So many have died on that year, my grandmother, my cousin Edith, my dad's two cousins, it's just awful. But once we get past that 62 number, well we can go to 85-88! So I'm past that bump at 9 pm tonight...You see I was born in Belgium at 3 am...so that is 9 pm on Mar. 2nd. So I actually celebrate my birthday for 2 days! :)) Today was cake, tomorrow hubby is taking me out for breakfast and later in the evening, dinner. We shopped a few days ago, he didn't know what I wanted for b'day, I saw a pair of "Skinny Hobo" jeans, they were in the teen size 13. He laughed, said they wouldn't fit. I put them against me seam to seam, and said yes they will. Purchasing them, he said, we'll be saving that sales slip. Got them home, put them on.....Perfect! :) Well, was he surprised, and got a good chuckle. I used to be in size 20/22. I have lost a total of 112 lbs in 3 years...took it slow. Had to re-learn how to eat and listen to my body. So worth it. :)
I'm so glad you and family have gotten over the flu. I've noticed in the past, flu shots do not work. They never seem to get the right strain of virus to make the flu shot work. We don't get them anymore. Well, that is all for now, it's 7pm here and the re-runs of Xena are on. Used to love that show 20 years ago! :)) How time flies. Take good care of yourself. Big hugs all around and a caress for the Crickett. :) >^-^<

Hi CatLadyOKC, Yes I did wear my skinny black jeans and nice red short sleeve pullover blouse. We went to a Japanese restaurant for dinner. I did find a nice small Heath/Chocolate Cake. It tasted more like Mocha.
We had a terrible storm overnight, between the 3 and 4th. I felt it coming in with a terrible headache. I am like a barometer. Did not get any sleep till after 3am. So glad the storm missed you. You seem to have some terrible storms. How is everyone at your house? Son took off for his job? Where is he this weekend?
Well, that is it for me. Got to catch up on sleep.
Take good care of yourselves. Caress to the Crickett. >^-^<

Mar 5, 2016
Glad you found your cake, we are getting ready for rain for tomorrow thru next weekend, most are just rain storms but some could be sever on a couple days. So I'll
be on as weather permits. Sounds like you had a really nice birthday, sorry about your headaches. That is something I don't have often. Son is on his way today I think from Ind. to Iowa think he will be there for a week, maybe longer. Think hubby & I are finally over whatever we had, but still being lazy...hubby is going to get on his computer today so when he get stuck I try to get him out of it, if I can't son has his remote program on his still & will straighten him out. Crickett is taking his morning nap and being picky about his breakfast which is normal for him. Get some good sleep and I'll talk w/you again. We need to find a shorter conversation this one is now almost to go over a full page. Hugs to all from all of us.

Well finally sunny & nice here except for the wind. Last week I was off & on rain most days some with more lighting more than others, I just tried to keep in touch w/our local radar for the lighting between each puzzle...had weather radio on but only went off once & was not coming our way...was east of us. Not much going on this week think I'll set up a hair cut for one day & Fri. get taxes done, slow week. Hubby did slip & fall and hit the floor with the hand that he had broken last year, but just pulled it and bruised it, did it Sun. & it is feeling much better today. Son is still in Iowa, but this hopping around is keeping me busy keeping up with his bills. Keep in touch...

Hi CatLadyOKC, this will be a quick one. Your hubby hurt his hand again, well so did I this past weekend. The front patio had some bug on the underneath side. My hand went there, got bit on two fingers. Very swollen, very painful. Had car troubles last week, had to be towed. After a week of picking around that car, hubby found it was electrical, had it fixed. :) Terrible not having a car. Noticed you had lots of storms. We are to have a wet weekend, but at least cooler. We're visiting with a friend for the weekend, so it won't matter to us. Give our best to your hubby, hope he's feeling better. Caress to the Crickett and hugs all around. Thanks for writing.
CatLadyOKC
Mar 17, 2016
Hope you hand is getting better quickly...hubby's
had doing fine (just bruised). Hate car problems...always worse than you think. We have the window on drivers side that is not working, but at least we don't open them often, that is suppose to get fixed next week. So far none of the storms have been bad here, suppose to get rain over the weekend, but cooler again. Enjoy your visit with your friend and take care. Hugs to all...

Hi CatLadyOKC, Were the Toms & hens migrating? Just resting and feeding for their trip? We got home late last night. Had a good trip and visit. Glad to be home. :) Will be busy today with laundry and cleaning up the house. How is hubby's hand? Is the Crickett doing well? Did your son come back? Weather got cool here for the last couple of days. It will warm up again. Talk to you later. Hugs all around. :)

Haven't a clue about the turkeys, not here this morning...just very strange to find them in a city of 60, 000 . The police & animal control had not idea about where they came from...didn't want to get involved w/them. Hubby back to normal, and son is still in Iowa working. It's always good to get home, and so glad you had a good visit. Cooler here too, but windy...could have another freeze yet. This time of year we go from heat to air cond. almost daily. Think they said our latest freeze here was in early May, but mid April is usually the norm. here. Crickett was not sure about the BIG BIRDS!!! in his yard. He stayed in most of the day & then only went out on the front porch. Hubby went to grocery for more cat food...
Hugs to all....Keep in touch, how is your hand doing?

Hi CatLadyOKC, Had a good laugh, re: Crickett and the BIG BIRDS....:))) Smart Crickett stayed on the porch, can't take any chances. :) >^-^< Stay safe Crickett! Re: hand...still a bit of infection on one finger, was healing, but took a down turn. Went back to the antibiotic cream. It's a beautiful day here today, would love it to stay that way all year. Do you and family have any plans for Easter? None for us so far, we have not made any plans. Got to get out and get groceries tomorrow...today was laundry day. Do you watch Dancing w/the Stars?
Well, that is all for now...still drying and have to go fold. Take care and Hugs all around...a caress for the Crickett. :)

Keep on that hand...No plans for Easter, hubby is the TV person, I'd rather read or puzzle. Temps back in the 70's for a few days, then down again, but the wind is blowing....even w/all the rain we have had we are still having wild fires on these very windy days. Did groc. today, will do laundry later this week. Crickett has been out some today, but he is watching for the BIG BIRDS...have his little cat gate on porch open for him! Hugs to all....

It's a rainy weekend here. Stormed last night, again today. Up most of the night with a headache. We're not doing much, don't want to go out. The weather man said "high pollen count", how can we have a high pollen count with all of the high winds, storms and rain? Done with the laundry for this week. Guess I'll be reading the remainder of the afternoon. Caress to the Crickett and hugs all around. :)

Just got your message, had gone down to have lunch, sunny here, but windy (not as bad as it has been the last few days) but we are to get storms overnight & early Sun, temps are going up & done here one day in the 80's next in the 60's normal for us in the spring. Between the pollen counts here & the smoke I have tried to stay in, but had to get trash bin out today. Think I'll puzzle this afternoon & read this evening. Crickett is checking the yard for turkeys before he goes out says they are really, really Big Birds!!!
Hugs to all from all of us.

HiCatLady! Happy Easter, that is, if you celebrate Easter. We do, but are not doing much today. We went out yesterday. No rain in sight; they're getting it up north though. Really bad storms up in the panhandle area. Our aunt must have stayed in today. She's no fan to storms and heavy rain. Re: The Turkeys!!! We have a watch around here regarding the meanie Turkeys. They are pecking cars and holding people hostage in their cars. It's "Attach of the Wild Turkeys" around here. :)) Tell Crickett to be very careful, they're sneaky. They hide and attach people, cars and house porch screens. :)) Hope Crickett is getting some extra caresses today. :) Hugs all around. >^-^<

We have watching him, we can shut him op on the front porch or back patio, both are enclosed with the wood lattice & he has small doors both places as well as the people gates. We have seen some interesting things here, such as a roadrunner, possums, rabbits, skunks. When we first moved down here we were on the edge of the city area, but now they have really been building up that area and the city has doubled in size so we were rather shocked to see them this far into the city. Yes, we celebrate Easter, but don't have to get into the eggs & such as more the youngest grandchild is 12 going on 13 in May. We have hubbys son in Ks., with 2 grandkids, and our daughter has 3, & our sons has 2. The oldest will be 22 in July. Daughter has youngest & the oldest. We are having a really quiet day and enjoying it. Had some storms near us last night, but now sunny w/ blue skies. Happy Easter to both of you....Hugs to all! Crickett sends his hugs too, he is taking a nap on the front porch temp is in upper 50's & sun is catching part of the porch.

Hi CatLadyOKC, It's already April 1st! This year is flying by. A friend of ours died, so sad. She was such a nice lady. We didn't find out until a week after the funeral. Her daughter-in-law forgot to notify us. :( Oh well, can't dwell on that.
Not much new here. Been busy around the house, mostly indoors. Spring cleaning after Easter, putting that away and bringing out the summer items and of course cleaning as I go along. Today is laundry day. Writing and puzzling between loads.
Got a late Easter card from my cousin in Bruselles, Belgium. It is terrible over there. She's very upset and her mom (my godmother) is too. They can't sleep from all the turmoil. There was a person of interest in my godmother's building; the building was raided by the police and the army. They took him away. Now my godmother can't sleep, she's terrified. She's 83 years old. Terrible to have to live like this.
On a happier note, talked to my girlfriend up in NH. She has a new great granddaughter as of Wed. She just loves being a great grandma, it's the third one for her. :)) Life goes on. :)
The car is still "limping" around. Still not fixed, hubby will one day get around to it. Too bad Crickett is not around to get my hubby to get out there to fix it. Crickett could help him out with the tools and keep everything in order. :)) >^-^< Oh well, that's for another day.
How is your hubby's hand doing? Is he getting better? My finger seemed to get better a couple of days ago. I took off the bandage and stopped putting the meds. on, but I noticed last night I needed more meds. as it was starting to hurt again. Put more meds and bandaged it. Feels better, but it is a "pain" to type with a bandage on; make so many mistakes. Getting back to the laundry. Have a good evening. Keep well, hugs all around and a caress for the Crickett. :) >^-^<

Hubby's hand is fine now, he just bruised it. Haven't done much, one day hot, next one cold, sometimes raining, sometimes not, can't seem to catch up with it. Granddaughter & friend came over and cleaned out our grill, fixed ribs, steak & chicken. They are in an apartment complex, most of them around will not let them have a grill. We have a Weber kettle type, but as gas starter and large table around it, got it for hubby several years back for Father's Day, we have really enjoyed it & they really liked it too, we told them they could come use it anytime they wanted. Was really shocked when they announced that wild turkey season starts Saturday in our area, guess those turkeys were not so stupid after all by hiding out in the city. One of our weather girls is a hunter, bow & gun also so fisherwoman, she also it real cute & very smart. Had permit last fall for deer with the bow & arrow, if I remember she got one. She also caught the biggest fish, two of the other weathermen are fisherman. We have 2 women & four men, so we have great coverage 24 hrs., also storm chasers & 2 helicopters & I think most of them have degrees too that work w/that TV channel we watch, so we always have great coverage, but still hate the storms. Hope your hand will get better, I know what you mean can't type. I like my new keyboard, except I have trouble with my right little finger, when I go to use the shift key, can't always reach the other key with my other fingers, don't seem to have it with the left one, but out of habit I still use the right one. Crickett really enjoyed the grilled chicken, make a pig of himself...the kids got a kick of him guess we are need to grill his chicken more often. He says he is not spoiled!!! Hugs for all!

Hi CatLadyOKC, It's been a while since I've been here. Got real busy with my spring clean out. Still at it, but taking the weekend off. I'm a lot slower than I used to be. So nice of you, having your granddaughter over to do her grilling....such a lucky Crickett to get some chicken. My Mimi and KitKat just loved chicken on the grill. Still nursing my hands. Bites seem to heal, but then I bang them while cleaning and I'm back to bandaging them again. Not much new around here. It's going to get real dull for the next couple of months. My really nice neighbors left to go back up north yesterday. They won't be back until July for a couple of weeks. :( Will miss them. I started sunning yesterday for about 10-15 mins. per day, I'm just so pale and need some sun. Well, that is all for now. Stay healthy, be well, hugs all around and a caress for the Crickett. :) >^-^<

I will be on later than usual tonight, trying to get caught up, miss a days, our cable went on a spree of going off & on all day until very late, it messed the internet, the phone & the tv, they finally they got it fixed...I'd get a puzzle almost done or done & it would go off just as I was try to either drop it or save it...it lost just enough time that I would loose it. So finally quit trying to do anything on the internet., got some other things caught up that didn't use it. We are in an underground area, but the wind was blowing so hard it was causing it to loose it connection on one of the main above ground lines that feeds to our area. Son will be home tomorrow for a short time between projects so I'm trying to get caught up. I have a few things I want him to change or fix that I have messed up on my computer, nothing serious. Sure hope you hand gets better, I'm not going to do spring cleaning, I haven't done that since I quit work. I'm don't sun, but I have an olive skin tone & very dark brown hair so I don't have to worry about getting burnt, have only done that once back when I was just out of high school, was at a lake & on the beach from sun up to sunset. Our daughter has dark hair too, but her skin tone is very fair & she was always & still gets burnt if she is outside for very long. Son is fine like I'm am, he had the blond hair but I changed and not is almost as dark as mine, but he got heat exhaustion when he was in basic training so he has to watch out for that. Hugs to all!! Crickett sends hugs too....

Hi CatLadyOKC, Getting on late today, got a late start from the get go. Did not decide what I wanted to do with my day until 2pm. Since it was a cool day here, decided to cook and bake. Made a green bean salad, a spinach/ricotta strudel....had some dough left over so I made two small apple strudels. That took care of the dough. Then made some Idaho Bakers (4) and then mixed up some hamburger meat to make 2 stuffed peppers for hubby and of course had to make some spaghetti sauce to put on top of the stuffed peppers. Once I stuffed the peppers, I found I had too much meat, so made meatballs and cooked them in the sauce....so we'll have spaghetti and meatballs for tomorrow. :)) Then while all of this is cooking and baking, I prepped for baking some raisin muffins, put that aside. Then prepped to make a Cream Cheese Pound Cake, put that aside....that is the last item out of the oven. Then I felt I had more energy, so I made some orange jello. Then I saw I had some clams that needed to be used, made a stuffing with clams and stuffed the clam shells and popped them in the oven. Everything was at 400 degrees. When all was done and out of the oven, dropped the temp to 350 and in went the muffins. Got those out, then mixed all the pound cake ingredients, and into the oven at 300, that is still in and will be ready in 1/2 hour. Hey, I still have some energy....:))) Want to come over for a cup of coffee and some pound cake? :))))
How come I didn't have this much energy all week long when I was cleaning?????? That is such a drag (cleaning). I enjoy baking so much more. So that was my day. Now it's puzzle time.
Re: tanning...I need to get into the sun a bit everyday as I am Dutch/Belgian blonde, baby fine hair and very fare skin, burn easily. So about 15 mins per day works well. In a couple of weeks I'll be able to go to the beach, and enjoy it. I did have one bout of heat exhaustion when we first moved to FL. Did not know how dangerous that could be. Did learn very quickly to keep water with me at all times, and drink often. Well, going to check on the Pound Cake...see you soon. :))) ;)
Keep well, hugs all around and a special caress to the Crickett. :) >^-^<

Know what you mean by the fine hair, I have lots of it but I wear it very short, had it long for a few years, but it was always in a knot on the top of my head, it tangled to bad that I hated it...would not do the long straight that you see today, I do have some gray in mine now, but mainly across the front area, the girl that cuts mine always fixes it really nice, when I do it she has it cut for my shake & go that I do. Have to go in about every 6 weeks for her to cut it & fix it so it looks nice an that may only last for several days, then we are back to the shake & go. I'll be down haven't cooked that much in year let along one day. Hubby & son order pizza for us this evening, I had the veggie one. Cooler today & cloudy so the house has stayed nice for a change. Might have some rain, small chance for some storms, but we are just on the back edge so hope that they get across us before they get nasty. Could use the gentle rain so we don't have to water the yard.
Hugs!!! to all from all!!!

Hi CatLadyOKC, I know what you mean about the tangling of fine hair. I dread doing mine. I love the shake and go hair, but can't get away with that. Have to blow-dry it. I keep it short at ear length. No greys yet, my family on both side don't grey early; starts in our 70's. I had a down day yesterday, didn't do much. Did puzzles, read, sat outside. It was a beautiful day. Today is starting out beautiful. Supposed to be 85 deg. Got to get out today, do some shopping. We're out of a lot of staple items. Did your son head out of town? Where is he going? Got to get going. Have a great day. Keep well, hugs to all and an extra caress to the Crickett. >^-^< :)

Trying to catch up today, had to shut down before. Had everything I wanted to do when the storms started. Lots of wind, rain, and lots & lots of lightening & thunder...some areas also got lots of hail. No hail here, also didn't quit here until after midnight. Son is here not sure for how long, waiting for the next project to get approved. Still watching for storms, but the chances are low here today which is a good thing. Our family was mixed some went gray real early and the other side didn't...I'm just happy that where it is gray it is the silver to white and not much yet. Sounds like you had a relaxing day which you needed...
Hugs from us & Crickett!
