My Mom, sister and I baked so many batches of cookies at Christmas. We would put them on plates and my Dad would deliver them to friends and neighbors. So many people looked forward to those cookies every year. It was a tremendous amount of work but so appreciated by everyone.
By the way does anyone know how many cookies are in a "batch"?

I think it's however many cookies it takes to decently fill a plate or platter.

Whatever the recipe makes. Double it and it's a double batch!

Nlbuchanan you are correct. A batch is however many come out of one recipe, usually 3 or 4 dozen, but not always. Some candy recipes only make about a dozen or so.
