Well, I finished it using 108 classic! It was interesting to do.

You are brave. I don't want to take that much time. 63 Classic is as high as I have gone. Might bet brave one day when I have nothing to do.

I just finished 300 classic, took me a little over an hour to do. I'm not sure why I torture myself!

Soon I will try 300.

Great, beckydent! 300 is the one I almost always do, but I also love the tessellation one and the skewed one.

Thank you for all your comments and Elijah's complement. 300 classic is beyond me since they changed classic and for my eyesight. Plus always wanting to know what cuts people use. Love Arlene

Bopiextreme, I did this Chinese Temple with 164 Circle and it was hard. I love rooms with furniture spread out a lot. I did the Antique Furniture Store a long time ago. It was when I first really liked this C4J. That is the one I am going to try the 300 cut. That is a lot of pieces. They look so small. How do you see them? I may start it next but may have to take a few breaks. I also do like you do tessellation and the skewed a lot. I wish they would make more pieces for the skewed pieces.

Arlenez, What did you mean by they changed classic? They have a lot of amounts of pieces and you can enlarge the pieces for your eyes. Now if you want to talk hard I just did an 88 Wavey and it drove me crazy. I thought I would do it because there weren't too many pieces and it won't take long but was I wrong.

Hi beckydent, I love the Antique Furniture Store, too! Well I always use the full-screen, if you have a premiere account. I don't know if this will be helpful, but what I do is separate out all of the edges and don't put them together, just put them on the sides. You need a lot of open space to work with and if the edges are all joined they get in the way. Then I look for pieces that are solid colors, and put them in separate piles -- all white ones, all black, all blue, whatever...but they must be solid color, no distinguishing features. Put those piles of pieces off to the side too. Now you have more room to look for specific things: I like to pick out what might be most easy to find, like the ceramic figurine in the lower left of that one -- I'll find all the pieces that look like that, and try to put that one thing together. It's standing on a white square for fabric -- okay, I'll find those pieces and put them together, too...There are dark vertical lines near the windows, I can find those pieces; same for the lamp shade, or a small round table top, the flowers by the window...Once you get several items put together, you can go ahead and put the edges together and place the parts you have done roughly where they will go.Oh, I see there's blue rug between these items, I'll find those pieces, Try to recognize where the different textures go - there's a lot of brown wood in this picture, but there are some pieces of furniture with carving, or with black stripes on them, etc. Once you have placed all of the pieces with distinguishing features on them, like an edge or something, you can end by placing the solid color ones, which should be much easier now.
Sorry, I went on and on, and you probably do all this yourself, I am no expert! But I do usually do one 300 piece puzzle a day at least. Takes me about an hour but I do enjoy it. It has to be a very "busy" puzzle, though -- no big empty beaches or plain blue skies or swaths of green grass for me with this many pieces, I need details! Hugs

If you're going to do the large cuts, be sure you're using the full screen mode.

I always use the full screen mode. Don't look at puzzle until I finish--no cheating! I guess that is why it takes me longer than lots of people, but I don't care!

Bopiextreme, I understand what you mean. I also don't care for scenery with a lot of sky, grass and trees. Sounds like we like most of the same things. I'm working some on the Antique Furniture Store. About half done.

Aknan, I have to use the full screen. Once in awhile I am working and having a hard time seeing the pieces and realize I didn't open up the full screen.

Elijah13, I could never not keep looking at the puzzle. I don't know how you do it. I would forget what puzzle I was doing!

I usually end up doing some of the "mystery" ones. Then you really don't know what you are creating. However I usually only do 44 pieces so it doesn't take me too long. Those are really nice puzzles.

I've never done a mystery puzzle, I'll give it a try! Has anyone ever tried it with rotating the pieces??

Elijah, Hah Hah....All puzzles are a mystery especially when you are scanning the puzzle and it suddenly clicks two pieces together without you planning it! A member told me it was unconsciously memorized. Wow!

It wasn't an easy one. I did the 164 Circle which is classic pieces also and it took well over an hour. I couldn't do much of it by pattern. Had to do most by shape of each piece. I usually do over 100. I like to enjoy the puzzle. I plan on trying a 300 like bopitextreme does but been putting it off.
