My dad loved those, and mom made yellow pear tomato
jam for him. I have raised some, but the birds also like them, hard to get much production from them, not a long enough season (gets to hot to soon) but sometimes a get a few more in the fall if we don't go for hot summer to winter and I can keep them alive thru the summer.

I've noticed too that the birds seem to prefer them...maybe because they are so sweet and they do have quite a bit of seeds
