Some flowers just last longer than others. carnations, alstroemeria, protea, anthurium, and statice make good vase flowers. I use greenery from my yard (ivy, ligustrum, viburnum, azalea, strands of border grass, magnolia) and whatever else looks interesting from our yard (pine cones, magnolia cones, squiggly twigs, mosses, lichen, thin sections of bamboo). Using good faux flowers in an arrangement with fresh flowers works too.
Just remember to change the water every day. :)

Great tips trynfindit. Wish I could find a handsome man in his 80's to send me flowers now. Ha ha.
Love the puzzle today, beautiful flower arrangement..Thanks C4J!! Pete is home and we are adjusting. It is so good to have him home and working on things together. I just hope that the home physical therapists will be able to start soon. Blessings to all of you wonderful people!
Glad your husband is getting better. At times I wish I had someone to look and talk to. Now it's just my 3 cats and me. However I have 2 nieces tnat help whenever I ask them.
