I have been to many of the caverns. The last one I think I went into was in Tallahassee, Fl. Many people don't know that one is near there.

A fascinating cave experience is Carlsbad Caverns in New Mexico.
At dusk there is a "bat flight" --- thousands of bats come out of the cavern in what looks like a black ribbon and head toward the Pecos River for their dinner of insects. We had been in the cavern during the day and didn't see one bat!!!

Been there about 55 years ago. My girlfriend and I took a trip around the United States starting in Tampa, Fl. I think that is the first cavern I had been to, but quite a few since then.

I've only been in one cave - Marvel Caverns near Silver Dollar City in Branson, MO. It was pretty interesting, but the last time there, they had added some things that really didn't fit such as music. Fortunately, there is a ride back to the top.

Love to go into caverns that have lighting in them. Did one once that we had to each carry a lantern and I always felt there was something crawling on me. Will never do that kind ever again.

Caverns are beautiful and interesting but scary.

I agree with you, and so are cellars.

Ya, I'm claustraphobic. But the good thing about cellars is sometimes there's wine in them.

Well you would not be frightened when you have drunk a couple of bottles. Hic is that you I hear.

Went down one of these caves in Spain called the caves of drac, it was great every one sat down and they turned all the lights out and a gondola came in all lit up music playing, was just like a fairy tale, well worth a visit. And how the Stalagmites, and Stalactites light up.
