Interesting bird - how do they stay so white??

"Start believing today that things are going to change for the better. Your best days are still out in front of you." – Joel Osteen
10. "See, when you drive home today, you've got a big windshield on the front of your car. And you've got a little bitty rearview mirror.

And the reason the windshield is so large and the rearview mirror is so small is because what's happened in your past is not near as important as what's in your future." – Joel Osteen

Good night and God bless. Hugs.

Thanks for the quotes. Not having a good day but this helped me like a little miracle, or maybe a big miracle! I have always liked Joel Osteen.

Pretty bird. I start classes today and I am both excited and nervous. I will be taking EDUC 307 which is Education in a diverse classroom and EDUC 367 which is Education in Autism. They both look like pretty tough courses. I think what is bothering me more is I also have my hands full taking care of my husband full time. But I can do all things through Christ which strengthens me. I got this!!! Hope you all have a blessed day.

It's an egret, nborchardt. I believe they're a member of the heron or crane family.

Cattle egrets are not very large, only about 18 to 22 inches long.

Egrets, heron and cranes are different species. This bird could be a juenville.

Maybe originally from Africa, but they are a very common sight here in Kansas - usually seen sitting on the backs of cattle, ready to grab the insects stirred up by the cows. Think many summer here, then winter in Mexico.
