That's true. It's a shame the word has been corrupted to mean something evil or dangerous.

Even now there are " good witches", not just "bad witches", too bad the the meaning of certain words have become perverted to mean something bad or evil.....like the word "fag".....it's original meaning is a bundle of sticks or even meant a cigarette so how did it become such a hateful word to describe someone who is different?

Glad they don't trick or treat in our subdivision. Once in a great while I will have 1 or 2 children come by. Have some candy just in case.
The word "witch" comes from the Old English wicce, meaning "wise woman".
