Many years ago we drove most of the coastal route ---- lots of interesting places along the way.

I also have driven down the California coast - Hwy 1. Start3ed at San Francisco that trip and finished in San Diego but have done the northern part also several times from above Fort Bragg to Bodega Bay. Such contrasts from northern to southern coast More rugged in the north.
