This cat reminds me again pretty close of my calico cat in Rainbow Bridge. On July 21, 2010, I had her cremated at age 17 years and 4 months of age. due to tumors and stomach problems.

When I solve jigsaws, I have a picture nearby of her that brings fondest memories. March 16 would have been her 27th birthday in people years.

I've had # calico cats in my past. They were all different in colors, but I deary loved each of them. One's been gone since 1994 at the age of almost 16 years, The second one was euthanized and cremated at age 17 years and 6 mos. The 3rd one was also euthanized, but not cremated, at age 17 years and 6 mos. on January 7, 2019.

My female calico doesn't have as much black as she does white. She DOES have black around her face and ears, and mixed in with some orange and white in her tail. Plus, she has one black circle on her right side. She has just a few splotches of orange. Otherwise, the majority is WHITE for my dear Oreo. She'll be 16 1/2 on March 6.

At Christmas, our pastor's cat had a bunch of babies, and my nephew who is living here, wanted one....the one I picked, is blind...i sure know how to pick them...poor little thing...only 3 months old, and she has glaucoma?? it's not fair, and who knows how much she will suffer? I am a dog person, but do more for this kitten than they do...no responsibilities....it's so sad...she looks like the cat in this pic, except she is gray and not black...thank goodness she is a spitfire, and I pray she is never in pain...our lhasa loves her and watches over her...and my nephew says there is no God? he is in for a huge awakening...

I love cats, especially when they are kittens and so playful and cuddly. If only they could talk, they are smart, clever and very sensitive if danger arises. I'd love to own such animals, but my dog would kill it. Sad how some times canine kill such cuddly kittens or big cats.

What kind of dof do you have? My husband had a collie and when I got a kitten he taught it not to hurt her. Eventually we got 2 cats and when the collie would lie down on his side they would both go between his legs and knead his tummy fur. It looked like they were playing 4 pawed piano.

Hi pixipix. My dog is a miniature fox terrier and is 9 1/2 years old. At the time of writing this, sadly my husband Jim 86 died 25th Sept 2015. He fell into a hole and died 2 weeks later. Although it is a sad loss, life goes on and do the best. I am nearly 64 and we have one daughter, Hubby has 3 sons from his first marriage and I still hear from them on very rare occasion. Thank you for sharing your moments of your cat with me. God bless and keep up your good Faith. I am surrounded with spirits and know Jim is safe in the arm of Jesus. He has gone with the Lord gracefully. Amen. Hugs Tia xxx

Corrina, I am so sorry. That is such a shock as well to have something suddenly happen to snatch away a loved one. My son OD'd on methadone a year ago October and we were unprepared as we thought he had stopped. Without God and Jesus and the saints to talk to I don't know how life is bearable when this sort of thin happens. It is also a comfort knowing I can still talk to my son and he will hear me.
Hugs and xx's to you also.

Oh Pixi, I am so sorry to hear of your son died from O'd. It is hard to bear and I know he will be with you forever and never to be forgotten. Life can be cruel, but knowing you can talk to God he will listen and hopefully answer some of your prayers as to why such things happens. We are not alone for so many die mysteriously and other through natural cause. Just to let you know I am called Tia. Corrina is just a fictuous name I use as an alibi for safe keeping. God bless. Hugs to you xxx

Thanks, Tia. I am not Pixi of course but I prefer not to say my name. I'm a bit paranoid. I have too often had bad things go on which seemed connected to people I knew that I just keep to myself mostly. For example this school where I taught and the kids were awful and the school closed---each of us who gave the kids honest grades ended up having bad things happen. One teacher was fired from her next job for "grading too hard" a priest was falsely accused and lost his parish, I was falsely accused and the charges were thrown out but the stress it put me thru made me quit teaching forever. That's only one example. It makes you feel hunted down. So here I can feel free because I am "someone else."
