Beautiful butterfly, miserable time doing the puzzle! When I lived in Honduras, I was amazed by the birds, beautiful flowers, and the butterflies. The color of these was just magnificent, but I don't miss the "giant centipedes", scorpions, and other "lovely" insects and critters. Have a wonderful day of learning something new, seeing beauty, spreading love to help others, and yourself, to have a blessed day!

That reminds me of our going through a butterfly conservatory and seeing a section where they had specimens pinned to boards. I said to my family that I wished we had some of those giant butterflies in our area. Then we turned a corner and they displayed the giant creepy crawly bugs that live with those giant butterflies. I changed my mind and decided to be content with our smaller butterflies.

I was curious as to how many varieties of butterflies there are in the world. I found this:
"There are approximately 17, 280 to 20, 000 different species of butterflies in the world. The number of species is constantly growing as new species are discovered and classified, with an estimated 200 new species discovered yearly. About 750 species of butterflies are found in the United States.

PS: The info about the puzzle indicates that this butterfly is from Costa Rica. I looked that up and found that this is a Malachite butterfly.
