Harder than I thought it would be at first glance, but I really had fun putting this one together.

Both the crayons and the box look a little worse for wear. Someone was a real budding artist!

Recall using crayons in elementary school. I watched a renderist work on a mural while at work. Our boss asked him to draw in some trees and in seconds he did. He was paid quite well for the short time he worked on it.

I like to color when my grandkids come to visit. We keep them, date them, and are going to share when youngest turns twenty.

Aw. What were your favorite things to do when you were a young-un. (I love that expression; I had an aunt who said it a lot.)

and they weren't store bought
we cut them out of a catalog
we built play houses out in the yard
you don't young-uns playing outside much these days
it's so sad to ride houses at Christmas and not see young-uns outside playing
this tells you i'm old as dirt

I was more of a tomboy; loved tree houses, forts, riding my bike all over the neighborhood. Yes, children used to play outside ALL OF THE TIME. But now they have computers, telephones and all that other stuff and nonsense. You're probably not much older dirt than I am.

My children did not like the heat or cold. So there would be about two weeks a year I could get them outside.
As a child I did not have air conditioning The schools weren't air conditioned either. I had hair past my waist and wore jeans and the heat did not bother me in high school. Now if the AC goes out they close the schools.
