Beautiful church. Interesting way to construct a building.

I would have hated to be the builder on that project. Looks like it is just slapped together with no thought as to how it would look

Easy puzzle this morning. That is an odd looking church. I will be so glad when tomorrow gets here. I will have a whole week off from school. Nice fall break. I passed my communications class with a B and I still have my EDUC 306 on APA and grammar which is done tomorrow. If I pass this class with a C I will count my self so blessed This was a hard class. Please pray that I pass!! I sure do not want to redo this one. Oh my gosh!!!

Thank you, Aussie. I have got to stop stressing so much. It is all in God's hands. As soon as I get my grade I will post. Probably won't be for a while as today is the last day and it will take my professor a while to grade everything. Have a blessed day.

I passed my last two classes with a B and a C. I am enjoying my days off. They are so needed. Hubby and I went to VA. beach today and I loved it. I got to walk on the beach which is something I have been wanting to do for the last 5 years. Hubby can't walk too well so he had to stay in the car. As long I was happy, he was happy. He did get to see the ocean from where we parked though. Went to Norfolk, passed over the Chesapeake Bay, went under a really cool tunnel, and saw sights I never thought I would see. It was a great day except for poor Joe driving on a 4 lane highway with a bunch of nincompoops who are always in a big rush. Other than that, we had a great time.

How connected this church is with dying. Churches used to be. The old ones in Europe (I've never been there) have honeycombs of catacombs filled with skeletons underneath. These days the cemetery is usually in a separate place although some churches still hve them right outside like this one.
Hoping wherever you worship it brings you comfort in all stages of life.

Pixi ---- Your mention of "skeletons underneath" reminds me of one of the most sobering sights I have seen. It is at a War Memorial in Belgium. Across the road from the Military Cemetery is a huge War Memorial which honors
many groups of war casualties. Outside we were encouraged to look in the "cellar windows." The bones of the unidentified filled the lower level. The name of the memorial is L'Ossuaire (The Bonery). We were a very quiet group as we continued on our journey.

When did you go there, Jamp? How sad to be in a collective place without anyone knowing you died and are being kept there.

It was 1969. The main part of the Memorial was well done and memorialized regiments with dignity. The "Bonery" was memorable in such a sad way. I think it was World War I --- and the bodies probably laid on the battlefield for a long time. Today they would have been identified. Who knows? ---- some of them could have been the enemy. Some day I'll see if I can find out more about it --- and I've made a note to share with you.

Thanks, Jamp. Maybe with DNA analysis that can be done now.
