Aussie, an update on the fire: the biggest one, nearest us, has now burned over 156, 000 acres. The other fire burned 44, 000 acres just last night. They have now nearly reaached the point where they will join together and become one fire. They are having to evacuate some areas again that had been repopulated. and some areas on top of the mountain that if it comes down will lead it directly to my town. Probably about ten miles away now - maybe less. Please do not stop praying. Wind conditions could change everything in the blink of an eye and it could come roaring down on us.

Just saw a post on facebook that 138 Australian firefighters landed in California yesterday to help fight our fires. Thank you, Australia!

Have been praying for everyone there also. My granddaughter is trying to find housing to go to school there this fall and her friend is a firefighter there. I am at the River and Ranch fires aka the Mendocino Lake complex fire three hours south of Redding.

Just found out we have the dubious honor of the Mendo Lake complex fire being named the largest wildfire in California history. I would have preferred to have the honor of being the only place in California history to have never had a wildfire. Not much chance of that.
That looks like a really clean pool. Those tiles could be really slippery. I'm surprised there isn't a railing on those steps. I might sit on them once I'm in but wouldn't use them otherwise. There I go being a glass half empty person. I'd enjoy being in a tile pool like that. It's really pretty.

I found it hard, too longer than I wanted to be!!! We have 3 neighbors around us that have pools, one is in ground, but the other two are above ground ones.
