A bit on the slow side today. I like a blue and orange color scheme.
The weather has been almost pleasant this week. Yesterday I washed the salt and mud off my car and it was warm enough I didn't freeze doing it.
Wishing you all close encounters witht he things you love.

It's hit 80 degrees here. Air conditioning is on. (I'm heat intolerant)

I think as we geet older our bodies ingeneral become more intolerant. I hate heat and cold. Both make me suffer. Thank God for air conditioning.

Unfortunately I've been heat intolerant as a small child and ever since I can remember. I'm so glad none of my children got that gene. I have to hibernate in the summer because of the heat here in n.e. Fla. We will get into the 90s by May and pretty much stay there till September. Brutal heat and high humidity.

I can still tolerate some dry heat but the humidity is the thing. Do you have to stay in Florida? I can understand if you do. I've ben trying to get my husband to move from NY for almost 15 years and here we still are. Someplace like northern California doesn't have many hot or cold days if you can afford to be near the coast. Or maybe Oregon.

We have a small place in the NC mountains that we'd hoped to retire to, but medical problems that both my hubby and I have will now prevent that. But we do still go there to "escape" the heat, people, problems, et al.

Have you considered moving to NC or north-to-middle Georgia? It's lovely there and, while there is some cold and a little snow, it's nothing like NY.

I have a sister-in-law living near Ashville but although it was pretty there (very much like spots in the Berkshires which we sometimes visit), somehow it did not speak to my heart. It may have been the circumstances (funeral) and that although my SIL's home was in itself gorgeous, it was on a hillside development which had a scary switchback group of roads to her home and made me claustrophobic. We really didn't see much of the area. I've never been to Georgia but the area near the red rocks might be interesting.

Yup--somewhere in the north western part of the state is a red rock park.
