Sweet to eat difficult to do

I don't know one thing about currants. Have never tasted one. Someone have a clue for me? These puzzles just keep on and on trying to educate me it seems. Thanks, Team, for your efforts.

Oh my goodness! So much news, joyful, sad, and optimistic all in one little bunch of puzzle comments. Aussiesapphire. Get good medical advice and stick to it. You will live for another 25 yrs. at least. I had a little stroke about 6 yrs. ago, but the docs have me all fixed up with so many pills I practically rattle! By the way, my Gram had lovely African Violets. I asked her about them and she said to just give them a half tea-cup of water every Sunday! Worked for her, anyhow.
A new baby, a gift from God. So much from all of you dear people who like to work puzzles. My prayers go with all of you wonderful people.

When we were in Wales our hostess made what she called "welsh Cakes. " They were fantastic little quick flat breads that had black currants in them. Yum! She said that she loved them and that, when she was a child, her grandmother used to make them for her.

What a fruity puzzle of one of my favourite fruits, so versatile in there use. Thank you for a reminder that one day we may have a summer.
Rozina1010
Mar 5, 2013
Barbaranne we will have a summer but I like Spring first...the buds on the trees and bushes...everything smelling fresh and looking beautiful. Summer is humid here in the New England area near the Atlantic. Cheerio and Ta-ta!

Today we had the most beautful snow. Everything is covered. The trees are beautiful. I love Spring but I also like a nice snow. I have books from the library to read and with my computer and television and of course my darling little dog I will enjoy staying in. Just had to tell someone. First big snow we've had all winter. All of you have a good day/nite and God bless everyone.

Sounds wonderful Logansport and God bless you too. I always get so excited when I see something come into bud for the first time as and African violet which I have never had luck with, and my closest friend gave me three for Christmas which I was sure I would kill!! However they are still all alive and one of them has three big buds on them woohoo!!
Rozina1010
Mar 6, 2013
And a triple woohoo from me! I have a black thumb when it comes to plants...unlike my sister who has "the green thumb" The only thing that didn't die was a large aloe vera plant. They only need watering now and then.

Hi Rozina, we all have different gifts/talents which God uses in different ways, so don't worry about your "black thumb" I am sure you have a gift which is unique to you. :)

Aussie African Violets (santa paula) are not easy the best place to keep them is in a stemy room the shower room is perfect, don't wet the leaves or over water and they will reward you. I'm responsible for the plants here and I'm so proud of the orchid show at present, I have a pale green thumb and thet helps. Hope all goes well tomorrow. I am to have a colonoscopy next Tuesday just to prove that the shadow in the large colon is nothing, a CT scan showed I when I was in hospital just before Christmas.

They look so good and are delicious to eat with many health benefits. I have a small request for those who believe in the power of prayer. Last week I had three tia's or mini-strokes and have to have a cat scan and a carotid ultrasound on Thursday. I would really value your prayers. God bless. Have a wonderful day/night.

Aussie, will always keep you in my prayers - this is just a small blip in your life right now. Tias are our early warning systems; you're smart to pay attention to them. Do let us all know your results, which we hope will be very positive and lead to early treatment if needed.

In fact, I pray for all of my "friends" on C4J; even if I don't say much, you give me a sense of community that's priceless. Thanks!

Aussie ---- I know the power of prayer. Mine will be on your behalf. "The prayers of righteous men have great power in their effect. " From James, I think. Here, "righteous" means "right-use-ness. " God Bless You.

My sister-in-law had the same thing and, like you, went for medical advice asap. As a consequence she rec'd treatment and has been well for these past 15 years. Never, ever, put off seeing a doctor out of fear for what he/she may tell you. Immediate consultation can, and does, save lives. God Bless!!
