Don't know if anyone's interested, but originally Big Ben referred just to the clock's chimes, but now by common usage it's accepted as referring to the clock itself.
This is so cool! My daughter, son-in-law and granddaughter are all in London for the holidays as her husband is from the Queen's land. I miss them so much and most likely will be there next year for christmas.
