I have to disagree about the observation that northern beaches don't have fine white sand like this. This could be Jones Beach; Long Beach (where we rented for a while); Cape Cod; Montauk Point. If you go way north into Maine the beaches get rocky but Mass. & NY have plenty of white sand.

No problem. I also love Aussie's quotes. Right now it's her night or just about. That's why she is usually the first one on. I try to do this in the morning--after my cats get fed (they are first) and have a little coffee and play on my iPad. It's usually around 10 am before I get on if I'm not going anywhere. I'm to the age that I only go out when I need to--no unnecessary driving.
I'm surprised no one is around but you and I, Elijah. Guess they're all tired out from celebrating July 4.
As I've gotten older I have become less and less a beach person. Give me the cliffs of the SW or the mountains up north instead.
Hoping you all had a great time yesterday. Any of you non-Americans watch the DC celebrations? My husband and I totally disagree about things like what Trump did so we skipped it. I was lucky that folks around the lake by us had very pretty home fireworks or the day would have been like any other for me.
