Bamboo is lovely and useful, but I prefer it in a jar. It is extremely aggressive and almost impossible to get rid of once it takes hold.

I'm thinking about trying clumping bamboo. I've got a spot where it might do well.

I wouldn't trust it. The problem is it will do VERY well.

They actually have a dwarf clumping bamboo now.

I've seen the spreading types of bamboo before and have no interest in them at all.

Bamboo in a glass vase with some stones and water works just fine. No spreading. Also it's a commitment. If you decide you don't want it later, it's almost impossible to get rid of. Napalm works.

That is a perfectly placed walkway allowing folks to walk through the bamboo forest and enjoy the growth --- and the peace. And the material used for it is fitting --- not cement!

It is so beautiful and calming to walk up those stairs. Then be shaded by the bamboo forest a cool place to be. Nice puzzle.
