I do pray you will be able to handle all the difficulties of living alone -- I know how difficult it would be for me, and I have no children with which to consult or lean on. This govt shutdown is such a political fiasco. Strong-arm corruption stinks to high heaven. Many will suffer because one party despises the other. Very sad. Glad I'm old and not long for this world -- relatively speaking. I hope your children will be able to keep their heads above water and this shutdown ends quickly. It can have an effect worldwide and push us into an even deeper recession that the one we're currently from which we're recovering. Sad. Very sad.

Yes it is my daughter is suffering the most. she wont be compensated for time lost. dont know how shell be able to pay her rent. My heart is hurting for her. May God Bless You with some one to give you support.

On top of all the government stress now her apartment is flooded. Hope things start looking up soon.

My heart goes out to your daughter, financial troubles are so hard to bear, especially when it is not of your own making! Governments world wide seem to be so far removed from so many of their citizens, I know that the gov. here in the U.K. is hurting so many of us by trying to repay debts from recovering monies from the poorest of us, and not doing enough to help create jobs so we can become useful and productive members of society again, my son applies for hundreds of jobs each week, but with so many unemployed it is a lottery! At least he has a temporary job for 6 weeks before christmas working for the post office.
Will your children get any financial help from the gov. for closing their place of work? Is there any sign of people coming to their senses?
I really wish we could make people in government live the way that the more vulnerable in society have to live, and not give them any idea how long they would have to live like this so that they can learn how hard it is to keep motivated, maybe then, they would start thinking about the people they are hurting with the choices they make.
My thoughts go out to your family and all the others who are affected by government thoughtlessness.

Will your children get any financial help from the gov. for closing their place of work? Is there any sign of people coming to their senses?
I really wish we could make people in government live the way that the more vulnerable in society have to live, and not give them any idea how long they would have to live like this so that they can learn how hard it is to keep motivated, maybe then, they would start thinking about the people they are hurting with the choices they make.
