I don't use makeup and now hardly ever wear lipstick because it gets on your mask. I only wear it at home because I don't have to wear a mask!

I stopped wearing it when I started to sing and realized the lipstick bothered my vocal chords. Also my husband doesn't like it. For special occassions like weddings I wear eye makeup etc but the stuff I have is really old because I almost never use it. The mascara is all dried out.
My mother and closest aunt always wore makeup. My grandmother didn't but did always wear nail polish. My father liked makeup. All the females in my family liked to dress well. They were not of the t-shirt and jeans generation and would not have been caught dead in them. My grandmother always wore a dress. For the most part so did my mom and aunt.
In those days going out to Mass or a movie was a dress-up event.

Just to be clear my dad liked his women to wear makeup but he didn't wear any.
It's bedtime but around the lake neighbors are setting off fireworks. It's so pretty. The high ones that clear the treetops I can see.
