These do not look at all like the mass produced apple fritters we sometimes buy at Sams Club. They both seem to be deep fried, though.

I have never had Apple Fritters. Wouldn't know how to cook them. But they look really good.

Oh! I didn't recognize them and didn't connect them with the apples. I feel silly now, as my son owned a donut shop for a number of years and I loved the fritters. They looked a lot different.

Yeah - Hubby got me an apple fritter one day and it looked more like a donut. I ordered potato pancakes in one and I could tell that they didn't know what they were doing.

These don't look like any apple fritters I've ever had or made. That rind in the background could be cantaloupe. I do like apple fritters.

I went to Johnny Appleseed Restaurant in New Market Va. and they made the best apple fritters ever. It was the first time I ever had them. They were given before your meal as a compliment. I could make a meal out of them but too many calories.

Me, too! Think they would to much sugar & cholesterol for me to have one. Tell the girls hello and chin
scratches from us.

Sugar - sugar from the apples - cholesterol - yeah could be - but now I use olive oil in much of my cooking. Olive oil is better for you.

Thank you. I will tell them and chin scratch them. They love lots of attention--which I do give them.

Is that what those are? I've never seen them before. Which part of the country are they common in?

I still like the comment "Dogs have owners, cats have staff" How true this is...!
