Tigers - my favorite big cat, especially Siberian tigers. Gorgeous.

Yes trynfindit, definitely Siberian tigers. I just feel sorry for them. In the wild they are being hunted and in captivity, well they are being cared for, but it's not always the best for them. This one is really well cared for and well fed. He's a lucky tiger. >^-^< Have a wonderful day. :)

Think my monitor is sentive to earthquakes. Did it last week & again today. Just the monitor on my desk start to quiver...check time to day & then check the news site, there was a 4.5 earthquake in Logan Co. at the same time. We do have piers that go to bedrock under out house. I can't feel it but it does. Did the same thing last week but I didn't note the time but we had one then too.
We are in Ceveland co. but I did check earthquakes that day & there had also one that day. Think it was a 4.2 & I don't remember the county but it was also due north of us. Will have to watch & start checking when it quivers. I notice it when I'm doing puzzles, have to catch the puzzle to get the piece in place. :)!

Ha-ha-ha-CatLadyOKC! Yes, it's okay. So glad you/hubby got the Crickett to take his meds. Give him a big hug from me. >^-^< :)) Ugg, earthquakes. With everything you get, earthquakes too! We got more rain this morning, and more is expected tonight. We'll have to watch it for tonight. We have a small leak in the roof, dripping into the attic. Saw a small wet patch on the ceiling in the living room. Hubby went up into the attic and put a drip pan to catch the water. Take care and have a good evening. Time to do some puzzles. :))

There's NO WAY I'd live in tornado country without a nice safe hole in the ground with a really secure cover.

Trynfindit - hope that works for you, they have some that floated out of the ground, and others that flooded with the rainwater.

I keep all my information/documents/search results, backups for my email and "My Documents" on flash drives and I do updates on the email and My Documents. I use one flash drive for each subject: household, trips, genealogy, writing, cooking, etc. It doesn't guarantee that my hard drive won't crash one day but, should that happen my info is saved and not lost.

Son has me on a daily back up online with Norton...that way if my computer blows away I will still have all of my info for new computer. They are real reasonable for what I get. I had Delldatasafe but they have dropped it so he had me change to this one we can have up to 5 (I think) of computers & we are both on it so he also has access to my backups. He is in Calif & I'm in OK has a program that lets him to get into my computer & clean up my files & extra stuff that has gotten on to it. I have McAfee for security but will change to Norton when it runs out. He knows me & things that I do so when he is home here he goes thru my computer & also takes it apart & cleans all the dirt & dust that has gotten into it. It's kind of nice to have my own computer "Geek". :)!

Hi CatLadyOKC, So glad you got your computer "Geeked". :))) So important to get docs. and important info safeguarded.
How are you doing? We're okay...It's hot here again, finally stopped raining...all the flooding has receded. Finally got out on Monday, did some shopping and out to eat.
I heard from Hockeyfan, she's tired, doing a lot of running. But she is keeping her sense of humor.
Just to let you know, it's her b'day on the 9th! :))
How is the Crickett? Caress to the Crickett. >^-^<
Take care and be healthy. :)

Good to know you are doing okay, tomandray knew there was lots of rain & flooding & noticed you had not been on really good to hear from you. Crickett is doing fine, hubby & he are playing slip the "treat" down the cat so far hubby is winning. I'm still 1 day behind on my puzzles, had Dr. appt. (no problems) every thing is good and chg'd me to an annual appt. We had storms pop up last evening to had to shut down early (lots of lightening), also did hear that we have already had over 900 earths quakes this year (did not know that) but most have been small. They are saying that most have been caused by fracking and are cutting down on that and will see if that helps. Oil & gas companies not happy w/that but are doing it. Thanks for the info about Hockyfan put that on my calendar. Yesterday was car problem day, but won't get into that-now just waiting to get two of them fixed, one under warranty and the other one is the one we drive and just getting older (minor repair+oil change)& it is fixed but need to get out to get it, hubby is waiting for daughter to take him out to get ours & then he will take her to pick up the other one, was good that we had a least 1 spare one running between us. Sure hope things quiet down here so I can get caught up!

Hi CatLadyOKC, So glad to hear you are doing good. My next dr. appoint. is not until Nov. Really don't enjoy going to dr. office. Happy Crickett is taking his meds. Give him a caress from me. >^-^<
Hope you have all your car problems taken care of, terrible to have all these problems all at once. With us, so far so good, we only had one terrible storm this weekend. That was Sat. morning, it was right over us. Had to shut down. Take care of yourself. Hope you don't have anymore terrible earthquakes. :)

Well if you saw the post just before this one, as usual
things went down hill. Hubby managed to break his hand Sat. am., the one he uses for his load bearing crutch. Has to go to doctor Monday to get his final cast.

Hi CatLadyOKC, So much has happened, what a difficult summer. My youngest cousin died. He had water on the brain. Got sick on a Sat., went into the hospital on that Sunday and died that night. His mother died months earlier. My other cousin called and said her father died after a long two year illness, then 3 days later she called saying her husband had a nose bleed and dropped dead. Turned out he had brain cancer.
So much sadness....so much more has happened, but to depressing. :(
How are you doing?.....and the family? Is Crickett doing okay and still taking his "treat"? :) Give him a caress from me. talk to you soon. >^-^<

Things a pretty much the same around here, Crickett has stopped taking treat, would not take the chicken on either so we have lots of them, reg. vet said let him go for a week to 2 weeks & try again - he is eating good (said he might not need them at times). He is not losing more weight but now gaining either. Hubby changed to Dr. in Norman that our family Dr. set up appt for him, spend couple of days getting info & exrays for them, they checked him out and said that it was not healing & should not have taken cast off that soon so now he is back in one again will go back next week for them to check again, also have him trying to use his crutch as little as possible. Granddaughter came over & cleaned the downstairs for me & went to grocery. I'm still tired but will catch up when son gets home on the 30th, he can be lots of help. He plans to be here for several weeks to help out. I was worried about you but can see why you haven't been on lately. Thanks for letting us know and take care of yourself. So sorry for your losses, but don't let the depression get you down, be sure and do something you enyoy! Hugs from all of us!

Hi CatLadyOKC,
Thank you for your good wishes, trying to keep the spirits up. Doing some on line Mahjong and now coming back here to do some puzzles. My puzzles were not working, but the problem is fixed and I'm ready to do some catching up. I have more than a months worth to work on. I also have house to work on, decorate for fall. We let everything go with all the problems. When we got home from our travels, we came home to a toilet in the main bath not working. Turned out it was roots in the drainage system. RotoRooter came in, gutter out the roots, 20 feet deep. We put in some root killer, has to be done once a month. We hope this will take care of it for awhile. The roof had a second drip zone. Called maintenance, turned out the roof was 20 years old and had to be replaced. That was taken care of over a weekend....so much noise! :( But is looks very nice along with the new gutters, the house looks new. We just need to paint the door with a fresh coat of paint. Power wash the driveway/walkway and trim the bushes. :) That is about it. :)
So sorry to hear hubby is still not healed up. As we age, it is so much more difficult to mend. We wish him well, and speedy recovery. I hope Crickett will start to take his treat again when he needs it. Maybe a bit of cheese may work.
So glad to hear your son will be back for awhile to help you out. You must really miss him. I am glad you have your granddaughter to help you out at the house and shop for you. :) She's an angel. Take care of yourself and hugs back to you and your family.....a caress for Crickett. :) >^-^<

Hi Kevintobin...Welcome and so good to have another cat lover. Do you have a cat? What type?

Hey CatLadyOKC...I know what you mean regarding driving in traffic, really do not enjoy that at all. Especially going south on RT 19, it's crazy. :( Did do a few puzzles yesterday, enjoyed the relaxation. Not going for speed anymore, don't enjoy that anymore. Actually it now makes me sad, rushing for what? Death?!? So Tuesday, I took it down a notch, relaxed and actually enjoyed the pictures. Also on Tues. decorated the house for fall. Dragged out the bins and put out the pumpkins, gourds, "dried" apples, "dried" leaves and colored corn. Put out the fall table cloth and fall/pumpkin candles. Dragged out my Blue/grey ceramic cat sitting on a pumpkin I made in ceramic class; it's sitting on my dining room table. Took out the scarecrow too! It's at my front door. :)) Well, now I'm ready to bake, maybe something apple/cinnamon. :)) Have a great day. And don't forget the caress the Crickett for me. >^-^<

>^-^< Crickett sends thanks to you! Sound like you are doing just fine, glad to hear you are doing something for yourself......He has finally decided that I can do somethings for him, he slept on the bed the other night w/me however it poked me lightly w/one claw every so often all night long, now he is getting to sleep on the porch since the weather much is cooler here now at night. It was a very long nite & finally took a nap in the afternoon after I got him & hubby settled for a few hours.
