I got mine from a song on the old Captain Kangaroo show from about 1966. It was about how the kudu felt bad that everyone went to see the lions and tigers...so he figured out something he kudu...but I can't remember what that was!

Captain Kangaroo....now that brings back lots of good memories. That was my favorite TV show when I was a kid. This one and Soupy Sails, (have no idea how the second part of his name was spelled)! Thanks for the resurrection of some really good memories. Have an excellent day!!

Soupy Sales was a silly kid show that featured 2 giant dogs that you never saw except for their gigantic paws. If I remember correctly their names were White Fang and Snaggletooth. At my age that was a looooooong time ago! Blessings!

Sandy Becker preceded Soupy by probably 7 years. He had a dog named Schatzy. He was on channel 5 here (when all the channels possible came for free through the air to an antenna.) I don't remember much else about his show except he was handsome.

I was wrong. Becker started in 55 and Sales in 59 so only 4 years apart.
Does an antelope eat cantelope? Does a kudu eat kudzu. Don't know about you folks but I'm all eaten out. My tummy could use a rest.
