Mamag15, Have a safe and fun time. You are so sweet talking about our Lord. Bringing tears to my eyes. Wish we could meet sometime and a lot of you. I have family in Tennessee. When my parents were living in Kansas we went through there a lot. They are in Heaven now. Be waiting for you when I see your next puzzle.

Thank you, everyone. I had a great time. Saw 8 bears on Cades Cove, My sister and I had such a great time exploring old churches, and buildings, and just enjoying being with each other. I am already planning my next trip only this time I will be taking my youngest sister with me.It should be a lot of fun.

Did Chip get to go?

Trynfindit, Chip did go with me to TN. but, he didn't go to the Cove with my sister and me. It would have been too much for him. He also wasn't feeling good. I have to get him to the vet; I think his ears are messed up again. Hopefully, we can figure out what I can do to keep this from happening.

Aww, bless him. We have a special ear-cleaning solution we get from our vet for Cole (our dachshund). Hope Chip gets better quick.

I'm grateful I have everything I need materially and have discovered a couple who have become closer to me than they were when my husband was alive.
but this will be a hard two weeks. My husband dies a year ago as of about noon on May 1. I told both churches I wouldn't sing this weekend. Don't think I could get into singing and mught start to cry.

You are always in my prayers but I will be sure to remember you on May 1. I am glad you have good friends. I remember when my step-dad died and what my mother went through. My heart goes out to you. Blessings and prayers, my friend.

Aknan and nhoward, your prayers were such a help. I had a good day surprisingly. Of course I cried some but a friend called in condolence which really touched me and late in the afternoon I drove to a waterfall I really like and that cheered me up. I just can't visit the grave yet. I went to see the marker installed but that was the last time I went. I lit a candle for my husband at church yesterday and said prayers. God doesn't need our old body to give us the new one He promised.
If He did every saint burned at the stake would be out of luck. Once our spirit leaves our flesh it isn't us any more...at least that's what I believe.
It's important to repect people's remains and have a place that marks the time they were here. I don't feel closer to my husband or son at their gravesites than at home where they spent years living with me.
Wednesday is my dead son's birthday so this week is a real tough one.
