Prayers please. My daughter and her family were displaced by the fires here (the Mendocino Lake Complex Fire in Nor Cal) and are trying to move all their recoverable items out this week-end, including today. Last night my son-in-law went to the ER and discovered he as an aortic aneurism and needs heart surgery. In the meantime, we have a lot of people who love them and will do the lifting he cannot do to finish the move. He also needs prayer to maintain his already low self-esteem while others are doing the work he feels he should be doing. Thank you all so very much.

God bless you all.

Prayers in great measures, nlb! Please God that your son-in-law has surgery quickly; aneurysms are very dangerous. He has nothing to feel ashamed about - he simply can't put any stress on his arteries right now.

I pray for your son in law - hope he's getting the care that he needs! My hubby is from Cali. as well - his mother was in the ER herself. Then she went to her doctor and she was diagnoised with pneumonia. It's hard because she'll be sick and then tell people oh I'm fine! Then her sister calls and asks why she doesn't return her phone calls. I would love to go hiking in the fall. I fell myself the other night - thank god nothing happened.

May the Lord fill his heart with his love and make him stronger to go through this ordeal. Someday he may be available to help someone else.

Prayers for all --- for when one hurts --- everyone hurts.
I had a brain aneurysm 32 years ago. It was clamped. I'm fine. It was scary at the time and I know how your family feels. Bless you all.

My thoughts and prayers are with all. I wish him best of luck when he has heart surgery. Mt twin sister died when her heart values collapsed in 1974 and we just turned 22 when she passed always. What a blessing you have wonderful people who will help with lifting and shifting ect. We should all pray no matter what circumstances you are in. It will be answered. God bless!!

Thank you, manatee. He sees the surgeon tomorrow and they will schedule his surgery then.

Though I aam only 67, my son-in-law is 60. (my daughter is 49.) He has three grown children from a previous marriage and two grandchildren he is definitely looking forward to watching grow up. The oldest is 9 and a very intellegent young lady. I'm proud he made me a great-grandmother. I've never met the younger one as she lives in Texas.

I'm 60 too. Those pesky aneurysms run in my family and my dad and his mom both had them - he caught his before it killed him and we had many more years with him. My grandmother and a couple of others have not been so lucky. I get checked every few years. Grandkids! Even better! :) All the best to that family.

Aneurysms are extremely dangerous - they need immediate medical attention. This is what John Ritter died from. We had a very well known dermatologist here - very successful - she was at a medical seminar - and poof she had a aneursym that burst and gone.

JellyBean19, that was over a year ago. John is doing well but still has some problems feeling exhausted and having difficulty breathing when he does something strenous. He is considered totally disabled and no longer able to work but was looking for a way to retire early so in a small way it was a blessing. He is loving being home all day every day. His wife, not so much! They are still living with me but I am planning to move into senior housing soon and leave them in my house. Overall things are going well and we thank God for helping us through this difficult time. Prayers are always welcome as John continues to have some problems and my daughter is also totally disabled with psoriatic artheritis. I, too am disabled wwith chronic pain from fibromyalgia but it is much more controlled than it had been so I don't suffer nearly as much as I did before. God is good and life is beautiful! Thank you for caring.
