My husband was raised in San Diego - when he moved to Salt Lake City, on certain days he could smell the salt in the air from the Great Salt Lake and almost get homesick.

Yeah - I live about 4 miles from the beach in Naples. I rarely go to the beach. We had an issue with red tide. A co-worker ended up in the ER one Sunday. He couldn't breath.
